Ok I know SOE will not read this nor will anyone else who can do anythign importatn to the game. However Lag is a serious issue. How are we expected to do cool quests like the geo lab if oncw we are within 3000m of it we (I) i get 3000 minumum ping adn 85%+ packet loss... i die before i even know it... i get attacked and dont know.. it tkes me 10 mins to acces the first terminal and by then the kwis and droideka have me dead.. i cnat pull off any special move because the lag is so bad. And that is only the gro lab... not to mention any other quest i do or on most planets i cant even caht wiht people. Lag has gotten worse and worse over the last week. It is not my internet provider ive been though 4 and all the same. THe point of this message is lag is bad. there is no way that JtL can be a success if the current game cant handle 20 people in a 2000m radius hell a planet worth (dantoonie a.k.a lagtoonie) I dont know what but something has to be done aobut this lag. There is somethign just not right about it.. no other game has this amount of lag. The only time i dont have lag is right after server restart.. then 10mins later people log on. I dont know if other people have this problem but alot of my friends do. I am known as Lagman becuase of how bad my lag is. Please post opinions.

Its always easier to blame SOE for lag than to look for remedies on your end. RAM is an issue. So is your type of connection. Most issues are frame rate, hence why if you move slowly you have no lag issues and spawns don't magically appear behind you.

I up[graded my system to 1gig of RAM and have a digital cable connection, my GPU isn't that great, only a 4800 GeForce, but I never get lag, I get frame rate loss. At the geo cave I get that hicup at the same point sometimes. My friend with the similar setup, but with a 9800, has no lag except in huge battles.

Its not just you, although some would make it seem that way. Lag has gotten worse for me too. The alleged memory leak patch was supposed to fix it, pfftt. I tried Keren rac track yesterday and was so fed up over trying to turn in those tight areas, I just gave up.

My system more than meets the requirements. In fact I can play Doom 3 with most eye candy at medium settings. So I know its not me, its SOE who's responsible. I can tell you this, there's no way Im gonna play EQ2 because lag will be even worse.

it doesnt amtter how good the "specs" of your computer are, if you dont know how to use them, or how to prevent bad stuff from getting on your computer, then it might as well have the cpu power of an atari

I upgraded my RAM to 1gh last week and I can say it´s helping a lot ! Starports were a pain for me before, now i have hardly any lag there.

Thx for the support (some of u). and for the rest I ahve 1 gig ram, 3 GHz P4, and a ATI Raedon 9800XT. It is not my comp. it is not my connection ive broguht it to 3 forends places wiht different connection (DSL< Cable, Dialup) They all perform the same on the lag front. Im not looking for support or help just if you are or are not experiencing the same problems.
