Right now I'm a Master in both of them but looking to drop one. I know it's more of a personal preference but I like both skills. What would you decide? Also I'm not big on PvP so this wouldn't be a factor for me. Also, Any pros and Cons for them?

Please help

Sword is better for doing high level NPCs like nightsisters, powerhammers do a much better job than knuckles. TK wound healing is very convienient though.

I've been both as well. Although I liked TKM for its speed and damage, Heavy Swords was much better because you aren't stuck with doing only kinetic damage. Swords made hunting Nightsister Elders much easier

yea if you can spare the skill points kill the TK meditate tree, one of the best trees in the game imo

Thanks for the input so far.

I have been leaning more towards Sword anyway, I love Headhit3 and when you get surrounded by a bunch of NPC/Mobs Spinattack2 rocks

As far as TKM, I love the healing tree and KD2 other then that not much on the TKM tree I care for

Must find more Scythe's if I keep sword though

When it comes down to it skill point for skill point, TKM is the most well rounded and useful of the melee professions. I would only drop TKM in your situation if I could still keep the meditation line. However if i had to completely drop one of the other, I would personally choose to keep TKM over swords, as I feel it's the most balanced and versitile, despite it's lack of alternate damage types.

i kept not only the meditate tree in tk but precison striking...bang for the buck its the best range/melee defense aside from the force sensitive boxes

but swords pve is best

Having also mastered both professions, Swordsman is a much more versitile as you are not restricted to just the one type of damage you can inflict. Mind damage is awesome.

As others have said, try and keep meditation at all costs. Healing damage/posion/etc on the fly is such an advanatge. Unless you are a medic/doctor you will have to go back to those medical centres and watch those tumblers do thier stuff while patiently waiting & waiting to be healed.

if you want to PvE alot, you should try the 2hSwords/Pikes Combo, you'll get cool damage types (blast for swords, electricity for pikes and of course kinetic, even energy if you can get an NS energy lance)

I love swords in both PvP and PvE. There's nothing like a nasty 700+ damage powerhammer... Composite? What composite
