a fiberplast panel is needed to create armor. where can i find it?

you should be able to make it yourself. its under "clothing"

Ok I am still confused with armor plating. There are two types of hitpoints, Armor Hitpoints and just Hitpoints. Which one is the pysical armor of the starship when used? (The red armor on your ship display)

They are like the condition.. So a comparison to Armor you wear..

Condition = Hitpoints

Resist = Armor Hitpoints (but they go down as you are abused)
