Thread: Is there a way for Rebels to get the Jedi Star Fighter or just imps?

You can't do it as a Rebel, you have to be Imperial on the ground. As a result if you want the eta-2 you have to drop Rebel (note: dropping rebel also drops all of your rebel piloting skills), switch to Imperial (most likely regrinding or buy 5200 Imp FP), do a short quest (takes at most 2 hours to do) and then return to Rebel (regrind or buy 600 Rebel FP) and regrind pilot.
HINT: Before dropping Rebel Ace load up a Heavy Z-95 with the best equipment you can pack in to it. Also load it with a LVL 6 Droid. Once you return to the Rebellion you will now have a fighter capable of tackling Tier 5's. XP and Tier 3 missions will now be easy. The Master Pilot bonus plus inspiration bonuses means the XPgains will be tremendous. I managed to remaster Rebel pilot again after getting the eta-2 in approximately 6 hours. Just need to regrind myrankagain but rank has very little function.

The ship is tradable so if you got an imp friend, a few million credits might convice him to let you have it.

No good. Tried that. You have to complete the quest to be able to generate the ship from the deed.

So if I am rebel on the ground but a neutral pilot, can I just drop rebel and join the imperials and do the quest, then drop imps and rejoin the rebels, without having any consequence to my piloting or anything else?

As Prometheus said trading the eta-2 will not work. In order to generate the craft you most complete the mission to the point where Darth Vader puts one in your inventory. If you haven't gotten to this point then you will not be able to generate the eta-2 even though you havea control deed presented to you by another player. The same goes for the ARC-170 craft. The only exclusion to the rule is the Belbullab-22 (Grievous' Star Fighter). It can be traded and generated.

I thought I read somewhere that if you are a Rebel and complete the quest for the queen to get the ARC170 that you can generate the ETA2 if you trade deeds.
I want that ETA2 but I don't want to have to switchfactions and then do all the grinding to become a Rebel Ace again. I know grinding will be faster with the bonuses but it's still a grind

ughI have an idea though if anyone wants to try it. I will setup a character on your server and do the Queens Questfor you then give you the ARC170 deed. In return you come to my server and get the Jedi Starfighter for me. We know the ARC170 and ETA2 are tradeable I just need to confirm that being granted the ARC170 allows you to generate the ETA2 (whether its a bug or not, I need to know for sure).

Hmmm.... that is worth a try. I had not finished the ARC170 quest when I tried the ETA2 deed. I have done the ARC170 now, so I will try that tonight and see if it works.
