Im more concerned that this whole group system was never tested and therefore the old man is now broken.

And that post clears up what exactly? How does that clarify who's in group 4? All that post says is: "If you did 32 professions, you'll get in immediately. If you did all (8) of the holo professions, you'll get in immediately. Everyone else is SOL"

It clarifies what we already knew, that we are eligible for a visit from Old Geezer.
The question is, WHEN are we gonna get the visit? WHICH stupid group are we in?

You should read it more before flaming, needless flames don't help this game get better, whining about how much you dislike the game won't change anything.Anyway, itsays that if you didn't do any holos, then you get in from doing the new system immediatly, and if you did holos, but didnt unlock, then you have to deal with this group business, that's what the post says.
Hopefully that clears it up more than my original post did

How do you get that idea from his post?
He basically said, if you hit all or only missed 1 holo profession, you are immediate access to the village. If you missed more than 1 holo you go to a group and wait.

Unlocked in Pub 9 or 1 short of unlock in Pub 9

Had met the glowing requirements pre-publish ten (ie. if you logged in yesterday morning and were glowing)

That is not at all what he was saying. He said thattwo groups of ppl would be eligible for visits, those who mastered all 32 professions (or31)and those who met the requirements for the new systembefore pub 10. To clear this up for you, you can qualify for the new system without holo's and some ppl proably did, but they had to be glowie before publish 10. Everyone else falls into one of the dreaded groups.

My question is concerning the wait list. If you fall in the class of people who logged in yesterday and was not glowing, but then you completed enough poi's and theme parks to obtain the "glowing" status. So everyone says you are either in group 4 or group 5?
So what that tells me is you are going to have to wait 3 to 6 months or more before you get a visit by the old man. Now if this is true, then by the time the 6 months or so rolls around you are going to have hundreds and hundreds of more people that will have obtained the "glowing" status besides all the people that are already in group 4 or 5 waiting for the old man, so do they join the already hundreds and hundreds that are waiting or are they going to add additional groups based on when they receive the"glowing status" and keep pushing people back further and futher before they can receive a visit from the old man?

The way I interpret it is if you're glowy you get bumped to the front of the line, but if you have holo professions done but are not glowy, you're in line and will be visited eventually. I could be wrong though, but I hope my interpretation is right, because I don't want to have to wait weeks before I get visited by the old man.

This is right, this is what TH is saying. I don't think he can make it any more clear than he did. Master Grinders(32) and inner glow people will get the old man at any time. If you did this before patch 10, meaning you logged in and it said you had an inner glow, get ready.

All he said was we were ELIGABLE. That's it! He didn't say, we would get a visit soon...It could be months, hate to say it but it's true isn't it?
