Thread: help with hero quest

im at the rescue the farmers wife in the cave part. i blew up the rock and took the wife and kid to the front of the cave and i stepped outside and they did not follow me. they kind of stepped back in the cave more and then despawned. i went in and out of the cave trying to respawn the wife and kid and all that and nothing happens at all. the wife and kid don't respawn, also the explosives don't respawn. is this a bug or something?
