right now my skill points available bar says 90/250
Does this godown with every level up I get? I've mastered Artisan, if you master a profession does this I've used 16 skill points plus the 6(I think) for Master?
If so, can we get more than a 250 max?
If so does this mean that we can't make a character that masters all professions? I hope not cuz sometimes I wanna blast stuff but other times I wanna craft but if we are restricted then it would be best to have one character non-combat and another as combat. I'd rather put all my time into one character.

If this is a serious question then yes. The more skills you learn, the less skill points you'll have left. Hover your mouse over each box in ctrl+S to see how many skill points they take up. Once you reach 250, you give them up and get your SP back to put into something else if you want.
If this wasn't a serious question, ya got me.

sorry if this was a common knowledge question but thanks for your reply.
Any chance the devs will get rid of the cap?

Highly unlikely that the cap will go. Lots of things would be worse if everyone could become everything, especially the economy.
No worries, it wasn't a stupid question or anything. Just never know with some people and their alt accounts messing people about
Take care

If you notice if you click a Skill Box to see it's information... You'll notice it says
Skill Points Required: X amount

No,
Master Bounty Hunter requires
Master Marksman - 81 SP (that's all you really need to know... Artisan is no use unless you plan to go into a more elite crafting profession.

Here is a link to an excellent utility, which will allow you to plan out exactly how your character will look like (within the 250 SP limit, of course)....

To Master the following Professions: These are also not taking into account of other choices. For example, a TKM requires UA IV in brawler, the 15 SP for the novice box is counted towards this. If you were a TKM/Master Swordsman, it would be a total of 169 Skillpoints exactly (if TKM/Master Carbineer...184 Skillpoints, to account for the extra 15 SP for another novice box)
Any Elite (Non-Hybrids) - 92 Skill points
Any Novice Profession (Excluding all Pilot/politician professions) - 77 Skill points
Commando & BH - 169 Skill points
Smuggler - 121 Skill points
Doctor - 140 Skill points
Squad Leader - 135 Skill points
Ranger - 140 skill points
These are from start to finish...
Breakdown on skillpoints:
-250 SP Cap
-63 Skill points for EVERY advanced Profession to Master (disregarding pre-reqs)
-77 Skill points for EVERY novice profession (excluding politician/pilots)
-15 Skill points for EVERY novice profession novice box (excluding Politician/pilots)
-14 Skill points to master EVERY Discpline 1-4 (ie Survival I-IV)
-6 Skill points to Master EVERY novice profession master box
-6 Skill points for EVERY advanced profession (elite/hybrid) novice box
-2 Skill points for EVERY advanced profession master box
Anyways, getting onto your question...
If you only mastered artisan that would lead to 173 skillpoints left, not 90...so you must have another 83 used up in other professions. If you really want to go BH, I suggest mastering it and either get TKA defenses, Pistoleer or Carbineer specials/mods/special defenses, or master one of em and dabble lightly in another.
And yes...the cap dissallows you to master all professions, but allows for a VERY flexible system in choosing what you want to be. (for example, if you're a ranged maniac...you can Master Marksman, Master Pistoleer, Master Carbineer, and then get 0-0-0-4 TKA for defenses, with 4 skillpoints left over...so even though you're limited, your choices are not)
And lastly...you can give up skills you obtained, so if you want to craft you can do that and later give it up for combat skills. But if you want to go back to crafting, you must regrind out that experience. Also, its possible to do both...like if you wanted to become a Master Weaponsmith, you can master another profession such as TKA, and have room left over for vendors from merchant (about 66 SP left).
