Im having a hard time understanding how to do this. Im trying to run a macro to grind survey xp. Someone posted a macro which is:

/sample;
/pause 5;
/sit;
/pause 5;
/stand;
/pause 50;
/ui action toolbarSlot00;


but I have no clue how to run this once I type in the macro. So if someone can please explain to me in detail I would greatly appreciate it. I need a Macro-for-dummies book lol.

The last command

/ui action toolbarSlot00;

calls up the f1 key.(the slots are Slot00-Slot11) (F1-F12)

So after you go into your command browser (Cntrl-a)

Select the tab that says macro, then new macro.Create a name for your macro(ex. sample).Pick an icon.Put your text in the maxcro text window,and save(select ok)

Now in the macro portion of your command browser you will see the icon you picked next to the name of your macro.

Now drag this into one of your toolbar panes in the f1 slot.

Now you need to survey around and find you a high concentration of any resourse.Once you are there ..close your survey tool and hit f1.

You will begin to sample the last resource you surveyed.

Every time it gets to the /ui action toolbarSlot 00; it will automatically hit the f1 key and start itself again.

To stop the macro type /dump

Bah, i wish i had an edit button...there is no space between toolbarSlot and 00.

it should have read ..every time it gets to /ui action toolbarSlot00; it will aoutoatically hit the F1 key and start itself again.

if you put a space in there, or you forget to capitalize the S in slot...it wont work.

What kind of Macro would you like?

I have written Crafting Macro's / AFK Macro's (tsk) / Combat AFK Macro's / Buffing Macro's / Center of Being Macro's / Base Shutdown Macro's .. Too lengthy to list... What would you need?
