You can get the silver ones by dying and cloning on a planet like Endor. They don't do anything for you though.

IF you have not pre-stored your clone information there; i.e., if you've last cloned off-planet. That's how I got them by doing the "Charge of the Light Brigade" against Kimo's on Lok, anyhow. lol
