You have to buy and installa new video card.

When the setup/config program for SWG disables a feature, that's because your video card doesn't support it.

What's a good AGP graphics card with a fast pixel shader?

With my ATI Radeon 9700, disabling the pixel shader makes the game go much faster, but everything looks like crap (Lok is blindingly bright and the water looks like liquid laundry detergent)...

Yeah, I had to turn the pixel shader back on and just deal with the lag.

Try setting the shader to 1.4 override should give you abit better peformance without sacrificing too much in graphics.

To the original poster : you need a DX8 compliant video card to run the game with pixel shader, although it will not run well on that kind of card. If you really want to activate this option, invest in a recent graphic card. Integrated video cards like yours usually are not best suited for video games.

BTW, I think you may have better answer in technical forum

Different gfx cards will have different availble options.

I'm using an older GeForce4 ti4200 128mb and my only option is 1.1 for pixel shaders. It's works fine and there's not a tremendous improvement in the newer cards - at least how it renders on my ssytem. (the improvement is there regardless though)
