Thread: Question: What are all the damage types nightsisters use

title gets it all, I know that they do kinetic, stun, and electricity. But I think they do blast and energy as well, but I can't remember... haven't gone after them lately. Any help is appreciated

That is what makes hunting them challenging ... i can solo a stun protector without stunarmor, but every once in a while i may also die. What is just insane are stun elders ... took one once with a group of 2 wearing 38% stun armor ... it still hit for up to 800 dmg when intimidated. We killed him finally, but that took 2 times cloning and rebuffing.

Well, a stun baton has no armor piercing, which should cut the damage by half using against AR - Light (Composite), intimidiating cuts it by 50% again and a usual stun baton deals between 100 - 150 dmg.

150 / 2 (AP) / 2 (Intim) * 0,62 (Stun resist) = 23,25 dmg
800 / 23,25 = 34,4 (dmg multiplier)
Weeee .. this is insane, isn't it?

The other way round:
800 / 2.5 (highest fencer mult.) = 320 (dmg)
320 / 0,62 * 2 (intim) * 2 (AP) = 2064 (max dmg on baton)

Now, if they are wielding those weapons, can they drop them on a regular base too?

Well, this is not supposed to be whining, using specials and different type of damage brought back a lot more fun for me, but this shows how unbalanced the game still is. *puts a lot of hope into the CU*

Oh .. forgot to mention, of cause i have melee damage mitigation 3 which implies that the output dmg is in the below
third of the damage ranged and swordsman toughness 4/5 (not sure what it is for master) .. dunno how that effects
damage reduction... would say, double the multiplier or the max damage of the baton, which makes the results even
more insane...

I guess you'd have to check the weapon they are using by doing /open inside a cave to get the actual damage range on the weapon they are using.


NPC's tend to use weapons that far exceed the min-max range attainable by us mere PC's.


And as you say, I wish they'd drop em.

Interesting, i read that /open thingy somewhere in the past and tried it out, but it dunno work for me in the wild.
So you say it'll only work in caves. Do you need to have aggro or can you just do it in front, to put the weapon into
consideration of attacking it.

You have to be "inside", if you know what I mean... so it works on the vette and in dungeons and buildings and such.


For instance, you target a Corsec Trooper on the vette, do /open and a window opens up that lets you gawp in shocked amazement at his 500-800 damage CDEF pistol.


So many occasions I have sat there double clicking the weapon in thewindow in a vain hope that I could nab their uber crazy weapons.


Not that I've used it lately as it just makesmy weaponrysomewhat inadequate, so it may have been fixed, was fixed so you couldnt do it on players I believe... try it anyway.

Since NPC got there specials back (not sure - pub 11), they are dealing the damage type of the weapon they use, but not the damage range that fits to that weapon

I have seen them using all melee weapons, expect vibro knuckler and ns energy lances. So they should deal kinetic, stun, electricity and blast. More if other damage type melee weapon is added after the CU.

I came across a NS stalker that suddenly pulled outa stun baton - I usually kill them effortlessly but this one murdered mepretty quickly - oh, the humiliation...
