I'm trying to run the neutral/rebel quests for the corvette tune-up but the NPC's say 'looks like you are busy...' How do i cancel whatever it is that I am busy with so I can start these missions?

Do you have two missions in your datapad already? That is the first place I would look. If that doesn't work...I don't know.

Well - first off, make sure you're talking to the correct NPC's. There is no corvette 'tune up' mission.
If you are talking to the correct NPC and they dont let you start the quest, talk to any random NPC w/ the "i" above their head, and they will ask if you wish to be released from your previous obligation. Say yes, and talk to the vette herald again.

My datapad is empty. I will try the (I) npc's to see if that helps.

Would starting the Hero quest cause this problem? I started it a couple of days ago. Do i have to finish it first?

Yes...you have to clear that NPC quest before you start this one by finishing or going to another NPC that will nullify that mission.

ive been having the same problem all evening,
cant cancel the hero quests by asking a NPC to remove your obligations and cant cancel it from the hermit himself.

The hermit quests are not bound like the other quests are - Talking to the hermit just makes it so you'll get credit for completing the random missions. I'm currently working on the hermit quests and i was able to get a ticket just fine.

You can only do one corvette mission quest at a time so if you have one from a rebel corvette mission NPC you will not be able to do the neutral one and vise/verses.
If you ever tried to doa corvettemission in the past and didn't finishit then you have to go to what ever NPC you got the mission from and get it aborted.
I was able to get a ticket to the Vette while in the middle of the Hoero quests so I do not think it is the culprit.
I had a friend that had the same problem and it turned out he had taken a vette ticket mission weeks back and forgot about it.

I've tried speaking to both the rebel adn neutral heralds adn get the same response from both. It has been going on for a couple of weeks. I completed the Cires of Alderaan thinking that was the problem, butno. I might have to havea csr figure it out.

you dont have to talk to the Hermit to get credit for the hero quests. i have the mark of courage and i got it accidently, never once talked to the hermit.
