It won't be a rant, just an idea, but first a little story:

About one week after the relaunch, I gave up to look for the Hermit-quests, because of too many player doing the same and because of rare spawn rate.

Today i thought, i will try it again and went to Bestine. I had luck. The BH was standing around and nobody seemed to notice him. I started the conversation and was reading the story, when a guy appeared and was talking to the BH too. I told him not to answer the question alone, but we should do it together, so we both can have the badge.

He did not answer me, so I sent him a /tell. Still no reaction, but suddenly the BH disappeared.

You know, what happend. He answered the question and i had no badge.
I sent him a /tell again and he said, he did not see my first tell and he assured me about his sorry and said, he will /tell me, if he finds another BH or another Hermit-quest.

I thaught, i do not wait for it, and went to all the other cities.
Because i did not know, what the right answer is, but i did not want it happen again, i have read the guide on allakhazam.com and was prepared for the next BH.

After an hour i found the BH in Mos Entha and hastened to answer the question without reading the story.
It was definetly not fun. I did not enjoy the quest a second.

So, here is my idea:

Instead of the BH, put an NPC onto the spawning spots. Let it be a random spawn, just like the BH himself, but he should tell avery shortstory, what fits the whole quest and let him give a waypoint to a BH somewhere in the desert.

So, if I find the random spawned NPC, i talk to him and get a waypoint (he disappears like the BH). Then I can travel to this point and talk to the BH in peace and can read the whole story and enjoy the quest. I do not have to be afraid, that another player comes and "steals" my badge.

Make it so, that only I can talk tothis BH. If i am on my way to him, but another player see him and talks to him, the BH should givean answer like"I am waiting for somebody else" or so...of course fitting the scenery.

I think, you could do this withthe other quests, like the farmer and pirates (i do not know, if it would make sense, because i did not do them, so i do not know them)

I know, i will get 1 star for that, because i get always 1 star for all my posts, but i just thought, I write it down. Maybe somebody like it anyway...

This is the only badge that has a static spawn in either of the cities on Tatooine. I did mine the second time because I answered it wrong, so I had to bring in a friend to answer it correctly and he got it. So I waited 20 minutes for it to respawn and checked all the cities again and found it in Taike, not one person was in Taike except for the npcs so I got it right and got the badge. I dont see too much of a problem with the spawn, it's more of a you have to be lucky chance. When I was hanging out in Bestine I noticed the npcs there, so I went to the cantina to chat and still they were there. After I logged from the game it had been one hour and they were still there. And I come from Bria a very crowded server.

As for the other quests well the spawn is random just in a general location, so again it's luck of the draw. First come, first serve type of deal.

But I finished the quests with not too many problems.

My advice, go after the server reset so that the npcs are always there.
