...not see those shining pillars of light at each waypoint. It's quite enough to have it on the radar. It may not bother alot of people but it bugs the hell out of me.

I just love the Devs...especially with fava beans and a nice Chianti.

Just a crazy redhead.
If you talked to my face and not my chest I might hear you.

lol. Seriously though, I really do hate them, especially that new automatic nearest mission for group waypoint. Everytime I go to a BH npc mark, the first thing I do is turn off the waypoint because I hate fighting in the middle of a huge pillar of light, I start fighting and then the automatic nearest mission for group waypoint loads up along with the wp I just turned off, so I have to do it all over again.

I don't find these things to help me at all, the waypoint indicator on the radar is more than enough, if not you can have the waypoint arrow on screen. You can toggle that on and off, I just wish you could toggle those blinding beacons of light as well.

Also, you can toggle those damage numbers above toons heads on and off but you will still see state changes and effects like dizzy and such. Why aren't those turned off as well. Sorry this is more of a hazzle for people making ingame videos, I don't mind so much when playing about this issue.

the pillars of light don't bother me much at all. I don't even see them when I'm fighting because I'm too focused on my target and HAM bar area....but yeah, everything that displays on your screen should have an on/off option.

Also, I thought that when you do ctrl + alt + h that everything including the state indicators overhead disappear. if I remember it correctly the only thing you see is the characters and the terrain.....only problem with that is you don't know if your bleeding or affected by status effects or how low your HAM bar is. I haven't used that option in a while though, so I might be wrong....but I always used it when I wanted to make screen shots to make them background images for websites....and I didn't want all the clutter onscreen in the picture.

i like the light beam coming down because when you come tot he actual waypoint if you dont have your map up its easy to locate and you know where to go, just my opinion

I'm not asking to have them removed completely, just add a box in the options panel so you can disable them. Also, they do not dissappear when you hit Ctrl+shift+h to take screenshots. The state messages above heads still display in that mode, as do the pillar of light waypoint indicators.
It doesn't seem to me that adding this small feature would be that difficult a task.

Just because it's a small issue doesn't mean it can't get very annoying over time. I doubt it would be a big thing for the devs to change this so you can have the option of turning it off, so why not ask?

/agree

when I am trying to hit a lair the light really gets in my way....am TKM...so the light does really blind me and sometimes I don't see a spawn......if I deactivate it then I don't know if I got the payment...because a lot of times the wp remains even when the lair and critters are gone....

pffffffff is there a good solution? dunno
