Thread: Storage House & Vendor Questions
Hi people,
I’ve got some questions about a vendor I’d like to setup.
In our guild, we had a storage house for dropping items like weapons, armor, loot, etc, that you didn’t use or wanted anymore. When we were quite small, this worked really great. Right now, we’re growing bigger and bigger and are having some problems.
The biggest is that everyone needs to be an admin on the house and we can’t have more then 50, that’s just a restriction. We also want to keep track of who’s dropping what and who’s taking what. So I got an idea.
How about a vendor where members can offer their items for as much as 1 credit.
Me as the owner would place the items in the vendor for prices ranging from 1 credit to 50% of the normal going price. Newbie players would be able to buy some cool weapons and more experienced players would get a normally 200K armor for about 100K or something. Just ideas.
I just have a few questions…
1. Is this a good idea and/or do people have suggestions, comments, anything?
2. Only guild members should be able to access the vendor. When we can only have 50 admins, can the entry list of the house be bigger?
3. We’re on Chimaera server, come check our city out, it’s near the Mining Outpost on Dantooine! ![]()
Otherwise... that's exactly what a lot of guilds have done. Our guild actually had several vendors in the "guild storage", each from a different crafter and then a catchall vendor for a lot of the other stuff. This way the crafters have a way to offer guildmates a reduced price that isn't openly available to everyone.
Because of the guild or friends pricing and such, I wish the max entry fee was higher than 50K. Because of previous to Publish 10 increased likelihood of people using vendors for unlimited storage, I'm glad it has only been 50K. Now that vendors are changing (no vendors without the keeping the points invested, yay! lower limits for non-merchants, yay!), I would like to see the max fee raised.
You need to make the house public but you can add a enter fee. You can also add your friend/ guild mates to the enter list. This will allow them to enter without paying the fee. You can also try to hide the vendor like in a bassment of some houses.
