Gonna throw out a neat idea I had here.
Okay I would like suggestion on this and hope the devs read and like this idea. At a certain point in politician (master ?) you are able to place a imperial/rebel recruiter in your city. This is a special type of recruiter, you will be able to give in faction/money to the recruiter (via smuggler? rank? or just anyone?) for the sole purpose of lvling imperial/rebel city/outpost status.
Lets say there are 4 lvls of advancement.
Lvl 1 status will get you 3-4 spawns of faction patrol units (low lvl)within your cities boundaries. Costs 50k faction and 2 million credits payable to the recruiter in your city.
Lvl 2 status will get you 4-6 spawns of faction patrol units (mid-low lvl)within your cities boundaries. Costing 75k faction and 4 million credits.
Lvl 3 status will get you 8-12 spawns of faction patrol units (mid-high lvl) within your cities boundaries. Abilities? (any help on ideas would be great for lvls 1-2 also) Calling reinforcements to spawn at a specified waypoint inside city costing 100k per squadron to spawn. At-St's are able to spawn in this city. Also able to erect Fencing around this city. Costing 125k faction and 6 million cedits.
Lvl-4 status will get you 12-16 spawns of faction patrol units (elite obs) within your cities boundaries. Abilities: Able to erect city walls with turret spaces donatable at the city hall. This making your city a true imperial/rebel fortress.Can spawn at-at's if they ever get that fixed.Costing 200k faction and 10 million credits.
This is just a pre-alpha idea hehe so I would like discussion to go on about this please help. I think this would save alot of players from leaving while help us roleplay and the gcw.

Way too high of a credit and faction cost for just spawns. But other than that, it sounds like a good idea.

Well its not supposed to be a easy thing to get. You get the title of being a imperial city. Also it is supposed to make all of the citizens help in. Lvl 4 can be achieved in a day buying faction or even a matter of a week with citizens of the city all concentrating and doing missions. But this is also the point of the thread to get the voiced opinion of everyone. how cool would it be to wall in your city with turrets on the outside?

Nice idea. Why not have patrols if you can claim your city as a faction.

I think this would be really cool. I also love the high cost, as this isn't something a city with 5 active people can achieve. You would need a ton of citizens pitching in to help cover the costs. A city's costs should be covered by the members, not by the mayor and 2 of his friends...this would make the cost so immense no small group could get it.

This is a very good idea, and one I think the devs would be interested in implenting with the GCW update. It certainly seems like it would bring the GCW to the next level. However, I don't think the Game Guides Forum is the best place to post it if you want the Devs to see it. You should probably post it in the core systems forum, under professions.

Very cool idea. Needs some refinement, but the basic idea is really cool.

Very cool idea, and I will be happy to work on some further ideas for it, once i get rid of the headache I have from the blinding blue color...

Rofl otria your a moron, just because I posted on your auction taht people get pissed when you post BO's in the middle of the auction you go and flame all of my threads. GUess I will have to play in the morning while you immature kiddies are at school.
