Each week, Q-3PO started a thread for you to share game tips with fellow players. Tuesday Tips will continue on. Have a little known command you use all the time, a cool place to visit, a trick (non-exploit) to getting more out of the game? Share it here. To get things started:

Moving Furniture Made Easy

Moving furniture with the radial menu is an ok place to start, but when you find yourself wanting a finer touch to fixing up your house, shop or other type of personal space, you really need a better way to easily move things around.

Try this set of macros to make things easy and fun:

· Move your tool bar to one of the layers you don’t use a lot. (Toolbar level #3 or 4 works well and stays out of the way).

· Press ctrl-A to pull up your “Abilities” window

· Select the “Macro” tab

· Press the “New macro" Button

· In the box where it says, “Macro Text”, add your movement. For example:

o /rotatefurniture left 5

o /rotatefurniture left 45

o /rotatefurniture left 90

o /rotatefurniture left 180

o /move forward 20

o /move forward 10

o /move forward 5

o /move forward 1

o /move back 20

o /move back 10

o /move back 5

o /move back 1

o /movefurniture up 10

o /movefurniture down 10

o /movefurniture up 5

o /movefurniture down 5

o /movefurniture up 1

o /movefurniture down 1

· Name it in the name window.

· Pick an icon and add it to the list.

· Then drag the icon to the tool bar and moving things become much easier by using the customized buttons you just made.

Remember that wherever your avatar is pointing is "forward". Then simply target the item or piece of furniture you want to place, and press the toolbar buttons to get it onto place just how you would like it.

I good source of ideas and a great example of what can be accomplished can be seen in GarVa's Home Show

(Sorry for the delay folks. I was out on Monday and I seem to be a day behind. My bad.)

Check out last week's tips

Never realized the rotate odd angles command. I always used the radial on it. Boy I feel embarrassed. Time to go rearrange the house.

Thanks for the tip.

Any tip from me? hmmmm....

If you are trying to earn a certain type of faction. Kill one member of that faction and see what faction you are granted. Then go kill those guys and you will earn the faction you desire.

Example you need Jabba faction. Kill one of Jabbas guys and you will see you gain Valarian faction. So then go kill all the Valarians you see and you will gain Jabba faction.

And to make it even easier, get yourself a chair and sit down for moving your furniture. This has the effect that you allways look in the same direction and position and therefore have no problems that a move of the mouse makes it difficult to find back the right position for decorating.

I have been doing this for a while and it works really well.

Putting left commandsover right, forward commands over back and up commands over down in the toolbar, makes your shift button a sort of aneraser. Make a Change you do not like, press shift and hit that button again.

my decorating tool bar(#6) looks like this:

U1 U5U20 U100 - F1 F5 F20 F100 - L90 L45 L15 Prone

D1 D5 D20 D100 - B1 B5 B20 B100 - R90 R45 R15 Stand

TheProne/Stand just helps get a different point of view on things.

The only things we're missing is /rot up|down and /move left|right, then we'll have furniture moving made easy.

(rotating on all 3 axis would be nice - but what would you call the final one?)

There is this one trick I have found out while utilizing the "/rotatefurniture" feature.

  1. Have a friend setup a "/rotatefurniture" macro by doing a "/rotatefurniture left 90" and repeat itself in increments of a "pause .234"

  2. Have yourself sit down in a master architect chair (doesn't matter which one, it just has to be in the master architect box)

  3. Initialize the setup by your friend

It is said to create an ingame time machine that affects the real life world as well. Perhaps this might help you out TH in bringing the Tuesday Tips back to Tuesday. I hope those BHs didn't bother you too much, especially that one with the chuba named 'rancorteef'

Glad you're back we missed ya!

TH, I think it's time you start to be a little more assertive! 3PO is gone for a significant amount of time now. With JTL coming around the corner and the influx of new users it will create, sooner than later the majority of people wont even know who 3PO is anymore! Tuesday tips is your game now, no longer his I think you can retire the 3PO reference you start off with.

receive guaranteed access to the Jump to Lightspeed beta test in October and an exclusive in-game ground vehicle: the Naboo Flash Speeder.

I know thisa is off topic but no other threads hace addressed this issue.

This "exclusive" vehicle does that mean this vehicle is gonna be like the new special edition sunglasses and only given to those that by the game in advance?
