title sorta says it all, but i try it occasionaly and get the msg you don't have permission, but sometimes it opens and you can see the weapon (eg a NS today with a 1520-2750 scythe 2.0 speed).
This seems to make no difference (that i can tell anyway) as to wether you agro it (ie solo) or you are grouped. It just seems to work sometimes and not others ? is it a bug? should it not work at all ?

Were you in the stronghold? Caves/dungeons and other public places used to be where the /open command would work, I don't know about now. Private and restricted access buildings never worked. And I never had it work outdoors.

Open used to be great for PvP and for showing off something nice. You could tell people, "Hey, open me and check out this baton!"and that was much easier than trading with everyone. In PvP, you could check out your opponent's equipment in the cantina before going overt.

You could also remove people's power-ups on their weapons.

You could also remove people's power-ups on their weapons. If I didn't like the person, I used to do it just to be mean.
