is the desert to the north the only place these things spawn ??
im tracking for some but not seeing any living things

yes, try the northern area. so far these spottings were reported from various servers, but still, Goraxes are, as all other mobs, random spawns...
And yes, mostly in the desert area, northeast of Smuggler OP:
1413, 5317
1263, 4176
1750, 4700

You can't find them?!? I haven't looked since I could care less about Gorax, but from what I'm hearing the devs not only put them back in-game but overspawned them.

rofl overspawned is dead right mate !!. Went out again last night to kill a few more Gorax. Found a nice spawn... killed one... they kept respawing on a timer of about 2mins after death. Managed to kill 8 in total last night before the spawn dried up and we all got too tired.
Loot rate is even crazier than the spawn rate...... 7 out of 8 dropped shards ( and some were very nice shards too )

I agree - I got to hunt gorax for the first time last night and wow, they spawned quickly. At one point we had two of them on us. It was insanity.

The Gorax is definately a cool mob tho, especially when he tries to stand on you.. got some nice screenies which ill post later.
He is a tad weak though..... no issue at all for my ranger and a guild TKM to kill alone (buffed obviously)... he did pwn my jedi tho in 2 hits lol

yeah i finnaly found a few
i was just looking to far north
no loot out of 3 of them though

Looked at that link, the page says "Bright light is painful to the Goraxes".
Anyone have any idea if flash bombs are any more effective against a Gorax than anything else?

I noticed the latest patch notes said that the Gorax would be making an appearance. Does anyone know if this is a permanent increase in the spawn rate, or is another "special event". Has anyone seen one recently on Endor?

on life day the spawns were crazy but the next day i couldnt find a single one in 2 hours. I still think it's spawning,but not that much
