Thread: My parting message... A guide on how to make a nifty museum!!!
- First, You'll need fish. This can take a while. I suggest getting a good fishing pole (Mine was 98%) And then find a good spot (I suggest at least 4 density, 0 vegitation) and go at it. Use the chum from the fish as bait, so you don't have to forage every few minutes.
- For a true aquarium, I suggest having a variety of different fish, from different planets, and have tanks according to each planet. Or by species. - Second, you'll need something to put your fish in.
-For a big tank, I suggest those long ugly orange couches. From one side, they make REALLY good walls, and for corners and gaps, I suggest those rounded on top chests. They work really well.
-For a medium tank, I suggest using erect objects, like lamps for the corners, giving the illusion of glass between.
-For a small tank, you can use tables, especially ones with 4 legs, stacked atop each other.
-For a shallow tank, use a fountain, float small fish into it, just below the water level to make your aquarium have a nice fountain... with fish! (this is one of my faves!)
-For a round tank, use rounded couches, and a really high floated fountain for the top (looks really cool in a naboo medium, as you can go up and see the top of the water!) - Now that you have a tank, you don't want to put the fish in yet, you want to put in vegitation. Everything works well as vegitation, thought some of my favorites are..
-Potted trees are awesome as stand alone plants, and can easily be integrated into your tank.
-Potted flowers are great if you use several, by using your stairs and floating them to different levels, you can make great bushes and reefs. - Now, using the stair floating method, float the fish over to their positions
- If you give them out rotation numbers, and slightly different levels, and group same types of fish, it gives it the sense of fish swimming through the water.
-Make sure to have some fish have different personalitys, like... I put Naas hiding in plants, and have Rays chasing other fish. - After all this, you should have a nice tank. To add some more nifty tricks, add lamps, they make it look like divisions in the glass, and can add a nice blue or green tint to the tank (under water colors!!!)
II. A Zoo: This one's much easier, and who can't love a zoo? This is entirely a 1 story deal, so all you flat hosues can dig it!
- Step one, find a Bio Engineer and befriend him. (You'll need to, cause this guy is gonna be your friend for a while) Talk to him a bit about his different animals, and then decide on a theme for your zoo. I'll just say... Naboo for this guide.
- Now get a few animals from him. A couple of Narglatches, and a few Kaadu perhaps. A few Nuna wouldn't hurt either.
- Alright, Take your animals to a room, and drop em down. Rotate them around a bit to make them look lively (just like with the fish) and then make their cage. For this I suggest anything long and pole like. I suggest Lamps. Short intervals with lights facing the animals can provide a nice look.
- Add plants and perhaps smaller wildlife to complete the environment, I deffinetly suggest the small potted plant bush (described in aquarium guide)
For those interested in a more advanced for of the zoo, here's a short guide
- First you need stairs.
- Second, you need LOTS of potted plants. I suggest a crate of 50, maybe 2 crates.
- Mark out the area you want the cage in
- Fill that area with the potted plants, FULL. Like you can't see the floor at ALL.
- Float your animals onto the plants so it looks like they are standing on them (look! natural enviroment! grassy!)
- Add a bottem barrier using whatever, I again suggest the long ugle couch (with the nasty orange seats)
- Add lamps for bars ( I suggest red for reptiles, white for animals from bright places, and green for animals from places like Dathomir and Endor)
Hehe Nice eh?
Next up...
III. Faction Exhibits: This one's Easy, So I'll make it quick.
- NOTE: These require LOTS of faction. Don't take them lightly. Okay, not really.
- Get Faction Stuff. I suggest the suit of Armor available.
-Imperial: Storm Armor, and the Uniform.
-Rebel: Marine Armor, and get the helmet from Kit Bisto (or something) in Bestine (I think) (This is not a guide to get the helmet) And a pair of green pants, a green shirt, and a green gunmans duster. (This getup looks like the Rebel Endor gear) - Set up the armor and the Uniform.
- Add Faction Stuff.
-Make Imperial stuff very neat, and have very few lights.
-Make Rebel stuff disordetly, have it at odd rotations, and add torches to give it a warm light. - Some nice stuff for these rooms...
-The Empty Fuel drum delivery item from the bar tender in bestine (delivery item)
-AT-ST helmet obtained off of the corpse of the guy in the 4th mission from the guy in Mos.. thing in upper right hand corner. No Shuttleport... Entha I think. The guy is by the food stand at the bottom of the hill, by the garage.
I don't much like that one.
Here's a Nifty One...
IV. Store
This one is a little harder than it sounds... Here's the deal.
- The Counter...
-This is easier if you have stairs...
-Get something for your counter, put it down, and possible put your vendor behind it.
-Float stuff on top of it, I suggest somethinf for the register, like a vid screen, and something that might look good, like jars for a food store. - The Shelves
-Find something to use as shelves. Simple enough, Just find something. Once you do, drop it, float it to the location. Have several levels.
-To put stuff on the shelves, you must float it over, keeping it on the same level as the shelve if your shelf is flat, or slightly above if it is not.
-Shift stuff around, make it look natural
-Add a Beared Jax for a little flavor. And maybe a cage
Well. I'm spent. That's all I can do. Pretty Much.
I part with my final nifty trick...
V. BURNING SOULESS DEMON THINGS!!!!
- Black Wookie Robes and Hoods
- Torch in Middle of Said Robes
- Niftyness

Well ta ta for now!!!
I'll see you all in a few months! (hopefully!)

This is the single best post ever. You own so much.
Good luck to you and thank you for the tips on how to make fun stuff out of everyday things
-Nah-
A few things, for the aquarium it is best to use the long cafe table for the dirt/ground to provide an extra element of niceness, use tall and short toolchests as rocks, plants as plants, and some people like to have smoke from torches represent bubbles in the back (I don't)
For the terrarium you should use small toolchests or cafe tables lined with the orange couch as above to simulate the ground. Add plants and rock in this as well and you can get a quite nice looking piece.
For shelves, use 1 or 2 sword cores lined up along a wall.
And no offense but this isn't really a museum as much as just a nicely done house, if you want a museum you need to go around and get the rare loot drops and game items (holos, pearls, krayt skull, art, life day orbs)
For other decorating ideas feel free to peruse the site in my sig. It has my past jobs in it.
