Ok atm I am a Master Commando and I am gonna pick up some Pistoleer skills and TKA skills in order to raise my defenses.
Will the Melee Defense and Ranged defense mods work while im using flamethrower?
Will the defense vs.blind, knockdown, stun ect...mods work while im using a flamethrower?
Will the pistoleer dodge skill mods work while im using a flamethrower?
Also will the Melee damage mitigation from the TKA tree work while im using a flamethrower?

Yes.

Yes.

No.

Pretty sure Yes. Not 100% sure, though.

Yes, Melee and Ranged Def work while using any profession. these can be stacked up to +125.
Will the defense vs.blind, knockdown, stun ect...mods work while im using a flamethrower?
Yes State Defences work while using any profession. same as ranged/melee def up to +125.
Will the pistoleer dodge skill mods work while im using a flamethrower?
No Dodge/Counterattack/Block are profession specific skills. to get dodge to work you need to be using a pistol or a fencer weapon. it may work with a launcher pistol cuz launchers use pistol specials

Yes, mitigation works no matter what weapon you hold. which is why some ranged professions get the 1 tree from a melee profession so that they have mitigation2 if a meleer comes and attacks them.
