I have a huge problem which is preventing me from finishing many Theme parks. For example: I can not finish the empire park because everytime i need to talk with a thug/slicer, rather than kill him, he attacks me and there is no way to converse with him. I have been trying for the last month to make the highnegatives on the faction go away and so far no cigar. Pleasefill me in on any hints or any way of making it possible to finish these theme parks. My main concern is not being able to do the jedi trials...thanks for your time and hope you guys can help.

P.S. I have also called sony and no one has been able to help me thus far.

Heres what i did w/ -5k thug faction....

get someone to follw you and when the thug attacks get the guy that followed u to incap u, if your lucky he wont kill u and if he doesnt then when u get up converese.

/conv spam, this works a lot since sometimes the slicer doesnt notice u till your close

go prone w/ a gun and let him incap u

First of all most of the methods listed work fine but are tricky. What I do is more time consuming but is helpful for easy conversing with a thug. Goto Naboo and kill any and all Townspeople you can find. When you kill them then you get awarded positive Thug faction. After you reduce your Thug faction like 2000 points then try, I find it works fine with simply a reduction of faction and not a complete reversal or zeroing of it. Other townspeople are on tattooine. They usally spawn in groups of 5 in several cycles, but on Naboo do not kill the Holy Man as he will give negitive thug faction.

The only way I know of to properly do that portion of the imperial themepark is to unequip all weapons and then run from him constantly hitting the peace keyuntil he gives up attacking you and then quickly run back to him and type the /conv command. You have a few seconds between the time he stops attacking you and decides to attack again.

If you have trouble with that, the best thing to do is to create a macro that does /peace;/conv and then bind that macro to a keypress and spam that keypress while you run from the stupid slicer until he gives up and you get the mission reward.

I seriously doublt that this is the way the developers intended that part of the quest to be done, but I also think they were just asleep at the wheel when they coded that one. because it is nigh impossible to not have a negative thug faction standing because low level thugs attack players unprovoked all the time. there's really no practical way to prevent them from doing so short of never having a weapon equipped because the stupid low level thugs that impale themselves on your gun and then die in one reply shot are literally everwhere.

I suppose you could camp a "townsperson" spawn and try to bring the thug faction up by murdering 1000's of innocent civilians. I actually tried that, but I quickly realized that getting thug faction that way would takean entire weekendof gameplay. Which is mind-numbingly dumb.

What i have been doing is typing /conv 3 or 4 times *AFTER* i've killed the thugs. Its been working for me and some others.

i had this same problem long ago.

you can find townspeople at yavin 4 ,dathomir ,dantooine starports and at kimogila town POI in lok(respawns like every 15-30 min.

also all over naboo.

all you need is like -2000,-1500 and he wont atack you.
