Was interested in getting some opinions on weapon attributes and the role they play in combat. My view is that max damage is most important as it seems that it is the base multiplier for specials. Second most important, I feel, is special action cost because combined with max damage it says how much it costs you to do X amount of damage. Third is accuracy bonus, currently I cannot tell if thisbonus is applied because it doesnt tell but if it does work it is a nice bonus. Fourth is wound, not sure about this one. Last, I feel, is speed. In all the testing I have tried, I couldnt tell a difference between close speed ranges <.50 difference. So I guess thats my question. With DPS calculated only with speed and damage, it it a fair and accurate assessment of the weapon?

Example: My 3 Advanced laser rifles...

Speed Damage Acc bonus Wound SAC = Modified DPS

1. 2.6 506 - 1129 17 14.95 105 521.87

2. 2.82 506 - 11441814.95 102 486.46

3. 2.55 506 - 10241714.95 96 500.63

Now if you look at the raw DPS it seems that #1 is the best of the 3, but #2 shows a noticable difference in damage, has a slightly better accuracy bonus and a slightly less action cost. While #3 is the fastest and best action cost weapon. Its hard for me to choose which is to be my primary weapon. Im leaning toward 2 but I would like some opinons. Thanks.

I would go with no.3. Because it has a the least SAC, only 1 less acc bonus the no.2 and better DPS.

I agree with Stena. You'd be able to deal out more damage using special attacks with weapon 3 than weapon 2 because the accuracy isn't that far off.

Throw a 29% or better reinforced stock powerup on #1 and you are good to go otherwise I agree with the other 2 posters.
