Thread: Taking down Necrosis with 2 People (GUIDE)

Congrads on killing N-K. What I want to know about is this assist feature? Never heard of it before, does it work with all attack or only area? Any offical word on it, guess i'll have to try it out when i get home.

it has been my experience that ANY attack will go through, but default attack will not happen.


For example, i can target a groupmember (or anyone really) and do an Area Knockdown, and as long as the other person has an NPC or MOB targeted, I will knock them all down.


Its very helpful if you need to go take a restroom break, or get a snack.

A master Def and a MBH/Pistoleer can do it too (we did).


The MDef tanked Necro, with Infusion, and avoid incap when in danger. We killed Necro before the MDef was out of force

Necrosis in less than 10 minutes with:


Mdef / MLS / 4004 Healer

MLS / Master Enhancer / 4400 Healer


The person that has the mission stands at T.L. The other waits at the back of the cave by the gate you go out through. Talk to T.L. and go meet up with your friend. Wait for Necrosis to walk away from the 2 NK's and then agro them and bring them back to the gate and beat the tar out of them. Transfer force to the Def, he goes and pops the cells and machines which agros Necrosis, then the other person waits for the Defender to drop him 2-3k health. Then stand back 29m with the defender between you and Necrosis and saber throw away (or whatever your ranged profession is). Makes him drop faster than panties on a hooker.

I did this with one other person, we were both Master Smuggler/Master Bounty Hunter, with 0/0/0/4 pistoleer. Cycling roots, snares, and knockdowns, we were never touched. lol. BTW willing totrade my Grievous ship for a BARC speeder!

Tested and works with the following:

Master Defender/Master LS/Healer (Not sure of tree).

Master Pike/Master TKM/Master Brawler/Sword 0040/Fencer 0010



For the guide, i will refer to the Master Defender/Healer as Jedi, and the non-Jedi as Pikeman.


1. Use the Jedi's healing ability to get to the necrosis spawn area (those beatles aren't worth stopping for). while the pikeman stays between 2-8m behind him. (Jedi Train).


2. Before entering, Only powerboost just before conversation with the droid, and make sure the Jedi has full force pool and wearing robe.


3. Upon entering, have theperson with the questtalk to the NPC standing there, while the jedi is in place to agro necrosis and the NK-3's.


4.Have the pikeman run down to near where you spawned into the area, Jedi grab agro from all 3 droids.


5. Once Necrosis heads to the first powercell, drag the 2 NK-3's to the Pikeman.


6. Both take out the NK-3's, making sure the Jedi doesn't use too much force.


(With adv. armorbreak, 975 max damage pike you can take the two NK-3's without food in near 5-6 minutes.)


7. Pikeman eat foods (for me it was air cake, neutron pixie, and blob candy) redo powerboost. Jedi wait while this is going on. Be sure to run TWO center of being macro's for best effect. I run 2 30 second macro's 10 seconds apart, to make SURE that it sticks.


8. While the Pikeman is eating foods, the jedi needs to be destroying any spawning close powercells with saberthrow at max range. Do not destroy any near necrosis, only the 3 or 4 that spawn close.


Now the fun part.


9. Contrary to popular belief, the pikeman will be tanking and killing Necrosis, not the master defender. Due to the amount of damage, and the damage needed, the master defender will run out of force even with 7k force pool. Instead, have the pikeman run up, lunge necrosis, and run to just over the first hill, and be prepared to start dealing damage.


10.Todo the most damage, have the pikeman default attack on melee strike, while rotating improved impale, and keeping necrosis with adv armor break. This will deal an average of 1100 damage per 3 seconds.All of the while, the Jedi is healing the pikeman from just outside of necrosis' dervish range (16m), and doing saber throw only to knockdown necrosis (not too frequently). Pikeman should stare at his combat spam, and after it logs you doing the melee strike, do the improved impale, this way you can do both in a 3 second timer. ONLY doing these two will keep your action relatively high throughout the battle.


11. Once necrosis is near 20k health, and you have done all this correctly, the Jedi can start doing more damage at this point, while still healing the pikeman.


12. Loot (and collect badge if you can), stand around and cheer for 60 seconds until you are booted out.


Total time to kill necrosis: 6 minutes with 2 people, only one Jedi. Total time in instance: 13 minutes. Thats 17 minutes before ejection.


With defense clothes, food, and cob, i was only taking 643 from necrosis dervish, which was quite easy for the Jedi to heal off and keep force the entire battle.


Another thing you can do is, first time, both take the droid mission to get the red crystal, then the defender get the crystal solo, then next trip, the pikeman get the crystal on the way, and the jedi get the mission, and rotate it back and forth so you can go straight into the instance.


*Note: This isn't easy, and this isn't a guarantee that you will kill him with this guide, this is just a very good method that me and a guildie took him out 2 times in less then 45 minutes (first time took us longer then the second). We where on voice chat while i relayed necrosis' health back to him so that he could concentrate on healing me, and he did his saber throw "through me" using the very kewl new assist feature (select a group member, attack, and the attack goes through them to the target).



I will update this, as I find better/faster ways to do this.

This entire method came about when we realised that I was outdamaging the Jedi, and kept grabbing agro from anything we took on.

Did it with a BH/Smuggler (me) and a Rifleman/Pistoleer. Rifleman waits at bottom of cave while I talk and spawn them. Run away and feign deat. Single pull the nk-3 with a pet and drop them. Destroy the power cells. Rott necrosis and keep him rooted while firing from your max distance. We also threw on a snare when rood was about to fade so we could run away if new root didn't stick. Neither of us took a hit the whole time. The hardest part of the whole thing was getting through the spider cave. We just followed in the wake of a queen group till the bridge then killed single bugs till we got close enough to burst run to the end. I feinged while he got incapped. Got the ship, arm, and perfectly calibrated pistol.

We just tired that, and even at 16ms the jedi was still getting hit and he was out of healing range at 17ms.

I think he only has the 1000 point heal though, does the healing range increase when he gets the 1500?
