My new top of the linecomputer arrived today, and considering I've been playing on two year old technology since the start I'm ready to at least play SWG another week or so as a tech demo...aVERY prettytech demo.So does anyone have any suggestions on where I should go to get the best view and examples of high details in game? Figured I'll start a sightseeing tour tonight since there's not much else worth doing...

The forests of Yavin IV=IMO the best looking places in the game

Particularly the Kliknik temple when it has the gas giant rising over it

I particularly like the mountains on Naboo...I just wish we could see it snow & have it stick to the ground, trees, & houses, etc.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I'll be trying those out. Although it looks like I won't be trying them out tonight since apparently that shipment from Dell that arrived on my doorstep was the printer cartridges and nothing else.

I tried, but I couldn't fit the SWG disc into the printer cartridges to install

That's weird it should have worked...

Anyways... Dell?!?! Who buys pre-built computers nowadays... Those are the things of the past.

40 hours a week building computers is more than enough for me And to think building my own computer used to be FUN. /shudder

Oh, and my company gets a corporate discount at Dell.

Oh, and did I mention I've become fat, lazy, and decadent over the years?

Nice one. Some nice places that I've seen are Rori in general (I'd love to see the swamps and stuff on a high spec comp), The Swamps on Talus (The dark patch south east of Dearic). Vreni Island is nice too near the shuttle. Bela Vistal, also slightly north west of Kor before you hit the Agrilat swamps. Totally packed solid with trees, and theres a nice little opening in there too where two rivers meet inside the forest.

Theres so much stuff I'd go to see again if someone suddenly donated me a comp that runs at a higher res in full detail. What's your new spec btw?

One view I'd love to see, but is nowhere to be seen I'm afraid---remember the scene in Episode 4 (especially the special edition) where Luke, Obi-wan and the droids have stopped on a far away hilltop overlooking Mos Eisley? The later version had some great views of spaceships lifting off and heading into space. The game version of the city is a bit small and there's no landing bays and crowded alleyways anywhere to be found.

"Mos Eisley the spaceport. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious." (So where are the scum and villainy anyway? Seems to be deserted most of the time I'mthere!)

I enjoy the ride/walk out to the hidden rebel base on Corellia. There is a large mountain range there and lots of neat views.

As for cities, I would take a look at Bella Vista and some of the villages on Naboo. Keren can be especially pretty in the afternoon/evening.

Dell XPS

3.2Ghz (didn't get the 3.4 Extreme edition...seemed a little TOO decadent to spend $500 more on a small increase)

2Gb RAM

250Gb HD (thinking of getting into video editing lately)

256MB ATI X800XT card

DVD burner

all the rest

So far, I can tell you that the printer cartridge friggin ROCK
