Long ago, just after publish 9, I went to visit the Hermit in the squill cave and returned his skull and so on. Knowing there were 4 quests to complete, I completely ignored them and started working through Rifleman. Until last night, heading back home I went through Mos Taike and happened upon the spawn for the mark of intellect. I was delighted and having received the badge has renewed vigor to seek out the other parts of the puzzle. This morning, after again failing to find the Bladeblack Boar, happened upon the Moisture Farmer as I travelled towards Mos Entha. I spoke to him and told him I would rescue his family and he duly gaveme the WP.

Imagine my delight having found him and now having the WP for the cave. I grabbed a quick flight to Coronet and buffed up. Returned to Tatooine and made my way to the cave. Being a TKM, the opposition was bordering on pathetic, however.

I fought my way through the cave, found the crate with the explosives, fought my way back down through the cave, past the Krayt skeleton to the small crevice, thinking it was a matter of escaping now I opened the crevice to be told...

'you do not have permission to access the small crevice'

Suffice to say, I was absolutely raging in anger. I'd spent ages to searching for the spawns for these riduculous quests, having found one, got myself ready, found the item I needed, got the bottom of the cave only to be told...sorry, but you can't access this small rock.

For god sake SOE, earn your money and ensure things like this don't happen. I will be absolutely blazing if I have to find the farmer again after the restart, because personally, I think its pretty unfair to make people spend hours looking for the spawns only to stop them achieving their aims once they arrive at their destination.

however my aggravation came from something maybe more from a foundational standpoint...

Im not really sure what is so challenging about sitting in front of the monitor staring at the overhead map for a white blip. Im not whining, I have the badge...17 hrs of searching and I actually found it in under 5 minutes the last session I spent looking for it. Which I dont understand, but OK?!

This is not challenging, its simply annoying and very time consuming...OK that Im sure is a profit center converstation at the decision making table of SWG. Fine, but if time spent = money for the SOE group, then build some tough dungeons for these badges,make us DO something/anything besides rake a desert for something that obviously is not there a majority of the time to be foundfor a myriad of technical reasons that govern the behavior of these npc's ast they relate to the quests. More than anything respect the gamer's intelligence and drive, give us something ENGAGING and thought provoking to do please.

yall are gonna hate me but i just gotta say this....... yesterday morning,i went on the first search for the farmer guy... i had done my research and had a list of waypoints to find him.....while seaching i ran into 3 people with the same situation.. so we all joined together to search for this bugger. about 4 hours later i hadfound the farmer all 4 times for my whole group... but i got my repayment last night where i spent all night looking for the boar and the pirates completely unsuccessfully.........and i leave this one question to everyone......

WHEN GOD DO I GET TO SEE THE SAILBOAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

If you dont know bout the wife beaters or the days when eisley was an insane place.... and random people would lure mountain dewbacks and mountain squills into town(like me ) then you dont know bout the good ol' days.......

I recently completed the hero quest. It took me eight days, when I got to the back of the cave I got the same message about not being authroized to access the little rock. Just trying something I did the old click and drag and it worked. Get back to the borttom of the cave and open your inventory then click and drag the explosives over the rock and let go, it then sets the count down timer. Best of luck to all on the Hero quest. Its great having the five badges and the ring. I am also using the four marks in the corner of my house as a floating sperical lamp.
