I am a master smuggler and this bug is SERIOUSLY irritating me. I open a trade window with a person and it takes like 10 attempts to get the trade off because it keeps getting cancelled for no reason. Why is this happening, and does SOE know about it?

I don't know specfic reasons, but the trade window is very sensative. In my experience it seems to close when shifting items around in your backpacks from one to another for example while the trade is open. Also, sometimes chatting and hitting the enter key seems to close it. I don't know for sure. I haven't done any scientific testing to prove either way what causes it, other than the fact that its sensative. Pretty much open trade, have the items in your main pack ready to trade drop them in and accept.

it's very sentative to any changes in inventory items, which i think is to prevent exploiting and scamming. If either party tries to manipulate, examining and dragging items from inventory to trade window seems ok though, any item in their inventory while the trade window is up, the trade window closes. so, make sure that both parties are ONLY focused on the trade and not fidding with other things, because it will close the trade window.

You have to get the item from you main inventory, not from a backpack, satchel etc.

any running macro will screw with it. That has been the major cause of nearly all my trade problems with people and I always have to check to make sure they /dump to ditch any macros they have running. Also Lag can cause huge problems with trading.

1) In many cases if you chat while the Trade window is open it will close

2) Most macros running will cause Trade window to close

3) If you try to open a bag, backpack or container while the trade window is open it will close

-----note: you can trade items from a bag or backpack just fine so long as the container is open before you open the trade window.

4) If you move around with the Trade window open it will often close.
