Thread: Do live events still take place?

Do live events still happen to where you can get a Live Event badge?? If so, where can i go that live events happen alot?? Im a Badge collectoer and i see this badge on everyone but me..and i have been around since launch. I guess im in the wrong places at the wrong times 
anyone can help

you get this from the Fan Fest they run so often, so basicly you have to spent alot of cash to get that badge lol

Not true. I got my live event badge last april fools day for killing the giant mutant ewok that spawned in most starports. I got it right after I /shouted in spatial, "Any DEV's around? I need a live event badge!" lol.
A good place to get these badges is in starports during a major holiday. The DEV team loves to put things in starports.

i got a live event badge a few days back, lots of high cl imp npcs attacked coronet

Live Event badges are an area attack type of thing. The DEVs designate a location and everyone within X meters from it gets the badge.

yep
we've had gorax attacks, krayt attacks, mutant ewok attacks, droid attacks, nightsister attacks, faction attacks and many more
they do seem to happen around major holidays and other random times
i wouldnt be surprised if we get one this week because of the 2nd anniversary

I got mine on dantooine, MO while the black suns were invadeing it. i dont know if that happens any more, but i do know that anchorhead gets invaded by imp npc's

And as a friend of mine learnt (twice!) if you're in an area where a Live Event is happening, and you die, don't go to the cloner.
You can be pretty sure that the moment you take a trip to the cloner the Dev will do his Event Badge area spam, and you'll miss out. As long as you're in a fairly central area you're much better off just lying there dead if you want to get the badge.
