Thread: Do GMs check the non-correspondant forums?
Thanks, and the follow-up... do you know how we go about reporting them?
For example, lets say a clear-as-day credit sale conversation takes place in game.
You say, "so I am going to give you 10 million credits, and you are going to give me $10 via paypal for it?"
xSellerx says, "yes, that is the deal, let's hope no one finds out!"
would I just /report them? Its not harrassment, and worse, would I get in trouble even though I'm just trying to stop a seller?
its just the type of thing SOE should be clear on, as clear as they are about other bannable offenses.

The official statement as laid out in the EULA, section 7:
You may not buy, sell or auction (or host or facilitate the ability to allow others to buy, sell or auction) any Account or any Game characters, items, credits or copyrighted material or any other intellectual property owned or controlled by us or our licensors.
It doesn't really get any clearer than that.
Why you don't see anything about what happens to accounts who sell credits: http://sonyonline.com/tos/privacy.jsp#HowWeUse
Except as described in this policy, we will not give any of your personal information to any third party without your express approval
Whether or not SOE chooses to crack down on the credit selling is up to them, but they're not going to be publicizing account bannings or legal actions taken against players or credit sales sites. SOE may choose to offer item/credit sales services in the future (I think it may already be implemented on some EQ2 servers), but that's how it stands now.
