from what i can see on that prof chart initiate/padawan takes 250 SP. now if that info is inncorrect than the point of this tread is over BUT, if padawan takes 250 SP to have then what does it matter what FS trees/branches you get, if all that xp grinding/time is just gonna be a waste once you reach that point?
can anyone shed some light on this....
does padawan/initiate use 250 SP (or even Knight)?

I'm thinking no, it does not matter if you're looking to progress to Initiate/Padawan, etc.
The skill trees are there for those interested in the mods, but not in Jedi. Otherwise they are random prereqs for Jedi.

I think that's the old system. When you trained Initiate under it, it would use all 250SP and each box you trained afterwards didn't cost a thing. Under the new system, you have all of your SP available to you as a Padawan minus the 24 points required in FS skills to qualify (and any SP tied into regular professions). However, you will need to use up all remaining SP in Jedi skills in order to qualify for Knight.

Please forgive my FS noobness. So do we get an additional 250 SP for FS or do we have to use the 250 we already have? Im confused on this issue and would really like to know. I have unlocked a branch already and will give up my template for FS if needed but I really dont want to.

For the FS trees you have to use skill points from your normal 250 pool.
