can I unlock 7 branches in FS? I ask because there is one phase with nothing I want but I'm thinking of doing a quest anyway just to stay busy. If I do will I still be able to get all the ones I want?

From what ive read, you unlock the FS skills. Then just grind exp to fill the boxes. I unlocked combat prowness, and filled in the novice box with converted exp. Now im slowing grinding up the 1st of 16 in that whole skill set. Have to do the quest to unlock heightened senses then grind up exp, convert, fill in. rinse and repeat. There are 4 paths or branches you grind up in each FS skill, 16 boxes. So 16 branches, 4 FS skills, 64 boxes. Yes? Honestly I thought there were 6 FS skills so 24 paths or branches and 96 boxes. Not including novice and master boxes respectivily. I understand you only need 24 boxes total to open up initiate.

Hello,

Yes, you can unlock all 16 branches. Please note, however, that CURRENTLY (that is supposed to change at one point in the future) quite a few of the branch skills are fairly useless to an aspiring Jedi so you should thing long and hard before actually TRAINING (spending skill points on learning) all skills. Definitely do quests to get rewards (banner, plant, etc.) but absolutely take time to plan which quests you are going to take.

So, if I understand correctly I can unlock any boxes I want from any tree as long as I total 24 boxes trained I'll be able to be a jedi?

So I can "dabble", I don't have to master a particualr skill set. Aslong as I have atotal of 24 boxes trained.

This also begs the quesetion, if FS skills don't require skill points can I train all of them or will they cap me at some point?

There is plenty of info on how to get to and go through the villiage but not so much on the particualrs of the system. For instance, the skills you learn when FS, how usefull are most of them when you are actually a Jedi. I can't imagine a Master Jedi really wanting to be the best at camping, or what does it matter if you have a fast speeder?

You can dabble all you like. However, FS boxes do require skill points...1 each. And keep in mind, if you want to dabble you will have to have the correct type of xp to convert. If you want a crafting branch, you will have to craft...a lot.

Can force skills be surrendered?

Can they be surrendered after you are a jedi?

I picked up ranged speed/acc and would like to drop them after I become a jedi. If six branches are still required, anyone know if it is possible to pick up other branches instead and drop the ones I don't want?

You must have 6 full branches to qualify for jedi - but it's ANY 6 branches.

I have seen reports (sorry, can't provide link) of people who had picked up few lines they didn't want when pub 9 launched and they did their conversion, and aftr publish 10 launched trained in a couple other lines first, then dropped the lines they didn't want.

So, it is possible, though to widely confirmed that you can drop FS skills after you're a jedi as long as you pick up a branch to replace it before dropping. The one thing to think about however, there is probably not an XP conversion rate for Jedi XP - meaning that once you're a jedi, you'd have to grind alot with whatever non-jedi skills you had left to earn the branches you wanted.
