They had a plan. It was called "perma death" but it was deemed too hard ortoo frustrating. Regardless if it was frustrating, it would have kept all but the most dedicated players from playing Jedi because it would be too frustrating for average players and it was. But the developers caved to thedemands of the Jedi (sound familiar? )and now the population is out of control and there is no cure in sight.


When you make one profession heads and shouldersabove every other profession it is only a matter of time before nearly everybody in the game becomes that profession.


What makes me sad about the whole thing was that when a player became a Knight (or was it Master) and died in the original plans they would become a "blue glowie" ghost-like character like Obi-Wan and Yoda (and later, Anakin) in the orginal trilogy. Now we'll never get to see that.






Some of my pet peeve bugs:
•Armorsmith protection layers were not converted with the CU.
•Ship Details window does not close when you click "Travel" resulting in the message "You have lost the target. Closing interface."

How about some in-depth look at foods and the role they play in everyday gameplay. I think there are a lot of casual players out there that never even bother with food or drink and it would probably enhance their gameplay to do so.

Some Astromech stats about the distribution of Rebel Alliance/Imperial faction members, please. Or any other Astromech stats... it was quite a revealing and enjoyable feature series when you still had it going..

I would like to see a trailer for the combat upgrade and maybe all big patchs. Anything that isn't plain screenshots and words that put me to sleep. As long as it has explosions I will be happy.

The best Friday features have been those that gave us an inside look at the game world and how it's operating.


Things to cover (no special order)
1. Astromech stats: economy, professions, race, factions, bases placed, bases destroyed, player cities, house rot, jedi, Bazaar and Vendor transactions, BH Bounties etc.

2. Crafter upgrade preview. There is a crafter upgrade planned... isn't there?


Things that should NOT appear:
1. Loot lists. I feel fairly certain you won't do this anyway. Loot is supposed to be a bit of a surprise, and knowing that mob x has a 23% chance of dropping loot y takes a lot of the fun out of it. So does knowing that min-maxers have managed to caclulate the likely minimum number of kills to assemble a gong/rug/table, etc., and are monopolizing the necessary kills that give the best chances.

2. Single-class features. Unless it's something as huge as the Jedi Revamp, I don't think a FF should concentrate on a single class, but should be more general.

3. Q&A sessions. These need to be handled (better) as part of the regular feedback. What do you have Tiggs and the profession reps for?

4. Bug list, with rough priority (and a bit on how you prioritize) Again, needs to be part of an upgraded feedback. I really think you should consider making the list public.

Edit: Drat. I forgot #5: Please update the old feature with the gardens with the *size* of each.

how about future GCW friday features? Such as GCW scores on EVERY server's planet, info on each type of faction NPC, future GCW changes and ideas..ect. I like hearing about the GCW since that what this game is built around...





-I support a Galactic Civil War fought between regular, average players... Simply strict, hardlined Imperials & freedom lovin' Rebels fighting for control of the galaxy. A Galactic Civil War fought not with glowsticks or lightsabers, but with blasters, lances, and how much guts you have. A Galactic Civil War which reflects the timeline, the destruction of the Death Star, the absolute control which the Empire has and the brave Rebels trying to break up that reign... The extinction of all but a few rare and special Jedi. That my friends, is the Galactic Civil War and that is what we have to aim for.

Revisit some of the old friday feature Astromech stats. Or better yet, get some regularly (weekly?) updating Astromech stats.

A nice firday feature would be a library of pictures of loot that can be gotten in the game... It would be very interesting to see if there are objects the developers have added, but that the player base hasn't found yet... It would be really cool to know which items are popular and which are not...

I'd like to se repeats of some of the more interesting stat things you've posted in the past. The two I'm thinking of specifically are the big economic analysis you posted once and the one that showed a developer tool that displayed all structures on a planet. These were both interesting the first time, and being able to compare then to now would be really cool.
