I have read all over the forums about xp loss and -xp due to BH kills on noob padawans. If this is the case then why not make the jedi profession a more soloable class. Everyone knows that a noob padawan cannot do enough dmg to even kill anything at their level unless they drop almost all of basic professions. The main problem with this is if for some reason you do end up on the terms you have no shot in the world against a BH due to combat modifiers based upon level. If the paddies can solo and stay hidden until their template is good enough to go head to head with one BH and either win or lose based upon their tactics then the Paddie killing would essientially stop. I am a noob Jedi with x2xx def and x2xx sabers with master doc and 21xx TKA. I got my first BH today but he warned me ahead of time and wanted to fight and if he won I paid him the amount of the mission and if I won he dropped it. I was lucky to have a BH that just loves his profession. Unfortunately I will not get that evertime. I think that there needs to be so many points into Jedi before showing up on the forums. Lets just say 100. Thats under half a template but if placed right they can stand a chance against a decent BH. I think that the xp loss should stay in the game, but I believe that the paddies need to be given a chance and have a decent template before they are ganked by 5 BH's a night. As it stands now all of my BH friends will not take a mission over about 70-90k creds b/c the jedi is too powerful for them. So that does not leave much room. I even at such a low lvl was a 46k cred mission. Let the Flaming begin.

I won't flame you, but read this thread. a noob paddie can be more then equipped to kill a bh, you just don't realize it. More often then not jedi are new to pvp, freak out and get nervous and don't even put up a fight when the first few bh's come. Well i would say experience pvping would help (not saying u dont have any, in general). However most people on these forums are beyond the point of making sure they are ready to take on a bh. Take it as a lesson, get back out there and grind, you'll pick it up. Soon no bh will be able to touch you, and most bh's these says are respec and are just as noob as the jedi anyway

I appreciate the post MasterJedi but my thing is why do paddies have to use a different weapon to defend themselves? I don't remember any jedi using a rifle or pistol except in ep3 when Obi-Wan's saber was dropped. And lets face it who wouldn't use a pistol against Grevious Anyways thanks again.

Your xp loss is not based on your CL. What you do is take the number of skill points that you've spent on Jedi skills and multiply it by 2000. That's how much xp you lose. So a fully templated Jedi with 226 skill points loses 2000x that, or 452,000 xp. The minimum you can lose is 25,000. This is for all the new Padawans thathaven't spent more than 25 skill points on Jedi yet.

Your XP loss is based on what your mission payout it....if you are on terms...just get a friend who is a Bounty Hunter to check out what your mission is worth and you will lose 2x that...

For example if your mission is worth 50k you will lose 100k to a Bounty Hunter death...

You can also figure out what your mission is worth by figuring out how many skill points you have in jedi skills....Your bounty is worth 1k per point...not including force sensitive skill points.....

I agree completely.

They should put it back the way it used to be so that a Jedi starts with no skills from other professions and with the ability to wield only a training sabre.

The real struggle is being a mid level paddy. At this point you don't have any other skills to fall back on, and bhs LOVE to hunt in your range (not to low so they feel cheap, no to high so they can't win). It is true that you can easily beat some bhs at this point, but others will very much own you. And then BAM -300xp, and much time down the drain...

But all's fair in love and war.... I guess.....

I have 106 points into Jedi right now and when hunted I either die quick or stay alive long enough to win or run.
