Dark jedi knight is much easier to obtain from what ive heard, because the rebel spawns are much easier to find. I would see the dark jedi progressing through the ranks faster, which is how it should be. Dark Jedi = quick power. Light Jedi = more rewarding power but longer

Any updates on this??
Are there any jedi masters right now?? what are the rewards if any????
How powerfull are they??? and i guess now is next to impossible to get since you need to kill jedi's only for XP.

So, I was thinking shouldn't a Jedi Master be a master in all trees?
as we progress do we get any more skill points or do you just pick a template and thats it.
And after you pick that temp you just have to complete the trials for all the levels of jedi correct?

read the jedi FAQ at the top and scroll down to the part about the Force Ranking System. it explains it better than anyone here can retype.

OMG I did this ^ and that blows. So If I don't want to kill other Jedi I will never be a knight?
hmm I shouldn't have to compete with other players who may have more time and money to spend on moving up in the Jedi system.
who said a jedi in hiding can never progress in the force?

Not true at all,, the requirement to become a night as nothing to do with killing jedi.. there isa post somewhere about it and it states that you required at least 4 tree all the way to level 4 but not recommend to start the trial until you have completed your template... cause when you start the trial you will be on BH terminal... After you complete the jedi knight trials you will be given an option to go light or dark then you will be overt and then you will be on wich ever side you decided to be with... The ranking system is when you want to work on jedi Guardien and Jedi master rank.,.... If you are happy with jedi Night rank you dont have to kill other Jedi but I guaranty you that other faction jedi night will fight you if they see you on sight,,,,

Off topic, but in the movies/EU what is the difference between a Knight and a Master? Were only Jedi Council members considered Masters?
