He's making fun of us alright, but don't count on anything being in the pipeline for smugglers. But that's TH for you, as proven time and time again- I don't think he's a cruel or stupid man, he just has no sense of tact or empathy whatsoever, and not the slightest inkling of when a post of his will be insulting to the player-base. He does however have a knack of putting out posts that rub a lot of players the wrong way.
Or, as a guildie of mine once put it: the man has the social skills of a muppet.
Have pity on him, he doesn't know any better. Putting someone like him in a position where he can interact with the community regularly is just another of SOE's horrid management mistakes this game has seen so many of.

Secret Smuggler's Handshake

This is a macro I was given when in game it makes meeting another player interesting and kinda fun.
/mood discreet;
/emote Gives %NT the SECRET Smuggler Handshake;
/handshake;
/pause2;
/mood smug;
It can be modified as you see fit for any occasion, such as a guild meeting:
/mood happy
/emote Gives %NT the ESF GUILD handshake;
/handshake
/pause 2
/mood none
Have fun with it!

But the moment they implement Player-smuggler-bounties you can get it back again.
