Been grinding my Jedi no problems with visibility.

Had NPC's pop up on me from time to time and that didn't get me on the terms.

PC's have been known to come to see what i'm doing and still haven't made the terms.

I did make the terms when I went out hunting with my fellow guildies so getting hunted was expected.

IMO those that are making these claims of NPC's popping up and such or PC's wandering into their area are exaggerating their claims because I've had those situations happen and wasn't on the terms. IF you really are careful on generating visibility for the most part you won't be on the terminals and be hunted. IMO those stating otherwise were doing things that put them at more risk and ended up getting the visibility and then come to the forums to complain about it.

Plain and simple Low level Padawans getting on the terminals is their own fault as it's not difficult to stay off of them.

First off I have to say I get this a lot. Lots of Jedi I've hunted have become my friends, and I still hunt them...which both they and I find fun and exciting...they never know when I might pop up. But to address this...they always ask me to check the terminals when npc's or sometimes when pc's happen by and they think they've generated visibility. The fact is most of the time they don't show up on the terms. The reason..is because I believe the visibility system is set for prolonged visibility or at least a tier system where you have to accumulate so much visibility before you pop up on the BH terminal. The random npc spawns that wander close most likely generate low levels of visibility that after a prolonged time will wind up putting a Jedi on the terminals. Killing an npc would put you on for sure...but them just seeing your saber once or getting too close as you use a force power and sped away...that from my experience hasn't landed any of the Jedi I know on the terms.

After all, most BH's are only BH for one of two reasons... <----- generalization. You said in another post that you know this from talking to BH's. Is it a majority? Have you been hunted enough times to make a statement like that? If so, how many times? Do you have a problem staying off the terms? You would have to be hunted alot to be able to come up with this crap or you just make it up on the fly.

a) They suck in PVP but they still enjoy it, so they rather just go and kill low level Jedi then brag about it later. So from one of your other posts I can gather that you talk to a BH and he tells you these are the reasons he hunts Jedi?

b) They cant get a jedi themselves because they dont want to dedicate the time to that much grinding, so they rather try to make other people's time harder on them. Again, is this what they tell you or is this just an idea stuck in your head? Ever had the thought that not all want to be a Jedi?

When you post this kind of crap, you lose the respect of others who read it. Are you going to answer my question as to why you went Jedi knowing full well what was involved? I don't hate Jedi. My brother has a Jedi and there are 15-18 Jedi in my guild and probably 20-30 on the way. I don't understand the whine I here on the forums from Jedi when my guild mates, non that I am aware of have the same views.

What you've said is exactly my point.

WhenI did end up on the terminals it was because I was out using Specials with my Lightsaber constantly in front of my guildmates and killed quite a few NPC's in the process.

It takes effort to get on the terminals.

The people who are crying saying a NPC popped up on me and saw me use a special and I got on the terminals IMO are not telling the whole story and trying to make it like the Visibility system is messed up rather then they were careless in their actions.

You see alot of these posts trying to lessen, reduce, or whatever XP loss or something of that nature and using the POP up NPC's and PCencountersas excuses for them not being cautious while grinding.

I've had these encounters myself and haven't been on the terminals until I literally made sure I landed on them by Killing NPC's and Using my saber specials in front of my guildmates.

Hmmm I have a Jedi and a BH character.

I guess I suck at PVP and like to give other Jedi a hard time?

I like being on both sides of the issue while most are all one sided.

because xp loss doesnt matter.. ask a finished template if it matters...

plus let me give the orig poster this idea...

I come for you you run to your house water whatever... and I wait for you to come out til my buffs are gone... how much xp did you lose from me waiting?

I come from EQ where camping spawns were taught trained and required... you are nothing but a spawn I am waiting for.. so yes run hide... I will be there til the buff goes.. then I will get rebuffed and return or while I am getting buffed some other BH will show up...

see XP loss doesnt matter it can be regained easy just slows your progress for a buff session max.. unless you run and hide then it costs you more since you are not out grinding...

we have the mission.. we have the droids... yes you can run but that doesnt stop us... you can't hide

I am 4000 sabres and the 272k I lose to a BH, or the 200k I lose due to a non-db mob killing me on the first incap is significant. I know there are loads of people out there that claim they can pull 120-150k per hour with just one tier 4 box in LS, but when pressed for the method, they never pony up the info, or just quip "Quenkers on Dantooine in a solo group". Missions on Dantooine is a sure ticket to the cloner on Eclipse and a lot of other servers. So I have no recourse but to call shenanigans on them. I can, at best, on Endor, pull 70k per hour unbuffed and maybe 90k, possibly 100k,with a buff, per hour. Butdue to my schedule and how mobs spawn when I'm on, the 70k is more the norm.

Just because you aremaster LS and can pull azzloads of xp, don't expect that a newbie Padawan can pull the same amount.

although I think bhs should hunt some Jedi to to giving up the grind, if the Jedi is being dumb about it, my opinion is not everyone deserves a Knight, they need to put in the work and be smart. Though I know you deserve it bads.

I know xp changes per level I know that xp loss changes per level.. and I know that staying off the terms before going knight = 0 xp loss to BH... what else is there to know?

many bh have a jedi, of course they understand but by no means does every bh think the same way nor does every jedi.

I know this has probably been asked multiple times already but the forum search system seems to be down and I do not feel like looking through allthe threads on my own to find my answer. So, how does xp loss work now exactly? I know that if you get killed by a creature or NPC you do not lose any jedi xp now, but what if you clone? And what about pvp, will you lose jedi xp if an overt from the opposing faction kills you?

All I know is that if a bounty hunter with your mission DBs you, then you lose xp still.

Thanks
