Mission 5. I cannot properly use my tractor beam without destoying the freighter. I've removed every weapon and ordinance from my ship (first by using "G" Weapon GroupAssingment and, when that didn't work, by removing them from my ship altogether). When my tractor beam (now my only remaining weapon/ordinance component) is activated, a huge string of "Incrementing Count" is produced. Then, the freighter explodes. I've tried this so many times now, it's not funny.


I know that others have found fixes by removing their other weapons. Butthis isn't working for me. Has anyone found any other fixes? Thanks.


Editted to say: After each "Incrementing Count" spam...I notice that another 500 units of Iron Asteroid Mineral have been stacked into my inventory. At this point, I'm up to 2500 units. Which indicates that I've attempted this 5 times. Could this perhaps be a Cargo Hold issue?

After attempt seven, I'm giving up. Any suggestions? Does anyone else get "Incrementing Count" spams along with resources being transferred directly to Inventory? Mission update doesn't occur until after leaving Corellian Space (Mission Failed).

Are you using the tractor macro or trying to fire it like a weapon?

A fair question. I appreciate you asking it...without accusation. Yes, I do. I'm not using the Quest Reward Cargo Hold(s). My Cargo Hold was made for me. However, my Cargo Hold has worked (gathered cargo) for all the previous aspects of this Quest Series. So it seems unlikely that it shouldn't work here.


Before you ask: Yes, it is empty. Another apt question.


**Trading 3000 units of Asteroid for another possible solution. Hehe.

I have no idea if this will solve your problems or not...
But I use the tractor beam through the "Tractor Beam Toggle" command.
I mapped the "Tracto Beam Toggle" Command (Through the Options: Keymap) to one of my joystick buttons, so all I have to do is press it once and the tractor beam turns on... I press it again to shut it off.

Perhaps THAT (combined with disabling ALL other weapons on your ship) will stop you from blowing up the freighter.
Just figured I'd mention this with hopes it may help.
