would love to have been witness to the thought process behind making this.

How on earth do you come up with the idea of making a table football machine from a cupboard, a bunch of swords & some chance cubes?

I don't come up with the idea from the items. I come up with the idea, then look through my datapad to find the items that can be assembled to complete the idea.
