Sweet! I'm not sure why they don't add those names to a view on the planetary map ingame though. It could be similar to the POI, Vendor, etc tab.

@ElBajong: Ah, a brother in mind... when exploring the Corellian mountains be sure to check the Thaos Mountains NNW of Doaba Guerfel. There is a wonderful big valley I for myself call "Yosemite". BTW the highest mountains I have seen are close to 600 m (on several planets).

I have checked the "Dregin's Pike" area on eastern Corellia, highest mountain there is 480.5 metres. Ill do the Malal mountains later, then go up to the Thaos mountains.

IMHO the wild north of Corellia has a lot more to offer landscape-wise. Be sure not to miss my "virtual childhood home" there: the incredible beautiful Denendre Valley: a heavy forestated river valley nestled between the high mountain ranges of Rhaler's Bastion and Thaos. Climbing down the Thaos Mountains into the valley gives you breathtaking visions, no matter if daylight, storm or dusk. I have tons of screenshots on my hard drive (with maxed out graphics options). It's the most beautiful place in SWG to go fishing while wandering north to the two springs (Nub Shanda/Endor is my second favorite place for fishing).

Heh, I used to live near the fork of the river in Denendre Valley. Lovely place, just very underpopulated and lonely, but great for hunting and fishing.
On another point, how do you guys find the height of mountains as you're travelling? I've wondered if it was possible for a while as I've travelled around, but never found a way to get the info.

ctrl + shift + g
This will show a little window which shows a load of info, among them coordinates for X, Y and Z-axis, meaning you can meassure altitued. Went down to the Corellian Ocean to check this, it was indeed at 0 altituted. To meassure, I get of my speederbike, find the highest point and see what the number between the "normal" coordinates (north-south, east-west) says. Make sure you look under "player cell" or whatever its called, not "camer cell", since the latter shows the altitude of the camera, not of the place you are standing.

Found an old post that claims that a mountain on Endor at 7089, 7292 is the "Highest PointIn Galaxy (confirmed)". Not sure what the confirmation entailed!

I went to visit the mountain mentioned two posts above. It is at least the highest mountain I've ever visited, and by far the steepest. You can start at around 150 metres and climb your way to the top, 609 meters above sea-level without moving much horizontally. Only 700 horizontal meters to the west, there was a 608 meters high mountain.
Thehighest mountain I've found on Corellia was 601 meters high, in the Thaos Mountains. These high mountains tend to have creatures spawn close to their top. On Corellia, there was a bunch of angry dalyrakes, while the Endor mountain had a flock of bordoks spawn right underneath me. This caused an abrupt end to my exploration of these mountains, as I died un-insured. Ill try looking around on Endor for possibly higher mountains.
