So does anyone know if the quality of the parts used matters in this?

I'm begining to wonder if these are acually worth it. I've spent the past week trying to get parts to make the whole set, I need the metal schematic, and another tumbler schematic, along with all of the parts to make them.

I've killed just about every type of NPC on all of the planets(no NS though) and I'm no where near getting all of the heating elements and wiring that I need, or the batteries, or motor, I haven't even seen the spinner blades.

Is all of this worth it to geta stack of resources that are only good for statless items? I could see if it was like RE where it took the average stat and output a base item, but 200 across the board, and the amount of time invested to get them seems a little excessive.

The agitator can be experimented on and so can the option to experiment on the recycler, but the recycler does not list any experimentation stats (like OQ, CON, etc); thus, the quality of parts appears to be irrelevant.

I tried many buff sessions and was ready to give up until last night when I finally got mine when I started running high-level missions. It is possible that it is luck, but the boards are saying that the best way to increase the odds on getting a schematic is to run 200+ level missions. Go to Dath and offer to form a solo group. It won't be too long (took me abou 20 mins) and I had a full, 20 members. I ran over to Lok and was getting 200-217 level missions. After about 1.5 hours of running those, I got a metal recycler. If you run to a player city (try to find one near the SE side of the map by the Binyaries POI), you can also run 200+ level Binyaries Pirate missions. On the third or forth mission I got a heating element (I had already collected three from previous low level missions buff sessons).

As for worth it, there are two things: First, part of the problem is figuring out what is the best way to do it, because the devs have not told us the system. So, optimizing the process to get the lot is a trial and error approach. Second, there is going to be some "X" amount of time that will have to be invested of which the amount we cannot know for sure. For me, I had the bonus that I was working on re-mastering pikeman. So, either way I got some loot and I got XP. Funny thing was that I got the final loot for the metal recycler and mastered pikeman last night. If you treat the goal is a must have, you're going to be disappointed to some degree. If you treat it as a "well, I have several things I am working one and eventually they'll work out" you'll be a lot happier about it. For me, having generic metal will be a big boon for my Architect. Addionally, I have an active guild, so we share our stuff. We only need one to share around. It doesn't wear out. Finally, I suspect a flourishing smelted metal trade starting soon to which I want to get in.

My two cents,

just seemed like it was the one question no one asked hehe - and can anyone tell me the rational behind the vet reward space ship taking up a lot?

Wayyyyy off topic, but its cause the ship has 75 (or so) slots for items you can place and deco with... seemed this was what they determined needed to be done to allow those storage slots as well as save all the locations of items in the ship, etc. etc.

Quick question... I have been looting Generic Insulated Wire. The description says it can be used to fix or repair any number of electronic items. Are these wires needed for the resource recyclers or are they for something else?

If it is just "wiring" and looks like a clothing SEA (or a blue rug thread) then its for the datadisk repair kit, and not recyclers. Recyclers have slots for either "Red wiring" or "Blue wiring" depending on schematic.

I just got a schematic for a few of these, along with the Tumble Blender. Looking to start making them shortly, but have a few questions.
My questions are, How many uses are the schematics? and Do they use Artisan Experimentation?

They are single use schamtics, with no option for a factory schematic.

Experimentation doesn't matter, but I didn't look to see if my experimenttation points were coming from the artisan side or the architect side... i'd assume artisan though since they're artisan skill required and use a generic tool
