There is a definite bug affecting Veteran Players. From what ive read, most of the new player base are getting updated messages when they/checkforcestatus, while the veteran players arnt getting anything. Keep posting everyone!

You will jump to 'glowing' once you have them all.
After patch 10 I had about 56 badges and was feeling a faint sense of the force.
DId Jabba's, warren compassionand went upto about 66 badges and was still faint.
Did Evidence for the warren and went straight to feeling the force glow within me.
It seems to be just a bug that your status doesn't update from your original one until you get the glow.
Just do all the badgs from the guide.

Here's my feedback:
Prior to patch 10 I had:
-About 30 location badges (among them all of the "dificult badges" butonly Ben's Hutt"jedi badges")
- 2 profession badges (Artisan and Architect)
- 1 Corvette badge
- Some other badges not listed in the "guide to glowing"post (librarian badge, Valarian theme park, Mark of Courage...)
After patch 10 i did /che and got "faint connection to the Force" message
I did the rebel themepark and when finished I got the same message
I did the other 2 jedi POIs (Blue Leaf and Exar Kun) and then /che said "You feel a sourge of the Force within you"
Now I'm going to do Nym's theme park and if /che doesn't says I'm glowing then I'll do Jabba's theme park.
I hope Warren's badges won't be necessary to me for getting glowie

A friend and I have been chatting about this. He's done most of the requirements, but he's at barely. I had a lot less badges, but was at faint sense of the force. After he stopped huffing, I went and completed the Jedi POI's, which just left me needing 3 content badges. When I /checkforce'd I was surging.
Now I think the /checkforce is fairly bugged, but it may also be updated when you complete a section of badges *after* publish 10.
So I had done the easy and hard POI's before 10 and Jabba's palace as well as one Jedi POI. I do the remaining two Jedi POI's which makes the code check my force status and it updates it to "Surge", as I only have a couple of content badges left.
If I had done the Jedi POI's before Pub' 10, I'm pretty sure I'd still be at faint.

I have a theory about the /check report.
There are 5 badge types you need to collect.
Profession, Jedi POI, Difficult POI, Other POI and content.
You're /check goes up once you have all the badges needed of 1 type.
At publish 10 release, I had:
1 Profession
2 Difficult POI
5 Other POI
2 Jedi POI
0 Content
When I hit my 3rd Jedi POI the /check went up to "surge". Just a theory, but it may actually have some merit.
