Heh, my template is Master Swordsman/Master Fencer/Master Brawler/Medic 4000/Combat Prowess 0001 (never really had an interest in all the FS stuff untilI got really into swordsman). Oh and I have Novice Politician (helps a lot).

Well...I am a Master Swordsman, Master TKA, some medic, scout, 80% Kin Comp..etc...
A Rifleman and I went after an elder last night...and besides the fact that his conceal shot failed and she aggroed me so fast that I forgot to switch to my PH from my Scythe 
...
...I don't think it would have mattered. I don't know what weapon she had at melee, but we died pretty fast. I was full buffs with brandy and ahrisa,and her first bleed on me was nuts! Then, she put a KD on me, and while I was down, she really put it on me....
I think we need to bring in one more person...

i guess your template (prolly what was used in the past is well) is prolly your best chance. from my experience, in general, 7-9 minutes is about 5 minutes too long nowadays IF the bleeds and HAM dot hits, which seems to be common as part of their opening attacks. Mind can go from 3k to 0 in about 30 seconds to a minute the way these chix are fighting nowadays. Although maybe your fencer mods are allowing you to dodge them....which is a good thing.

No way did any jedi solo a NS elder, its simply not possible. NS regularly hit for 12K+ before armor, 4-6K Constantly, this would kill a jedi in 1hit.
