Thread: Avatar Platform Guide v2.1 [2005-10-24] updated map & guide
mission [ground] - get a blood sample from a processed wookiee, then steal the medical records from the Medical Center.
mission [space] - go to Avatar Platform, /comm (or "C" then "SHIFT+C"), say what's needed to land

We are taking a POB ship to the avatar, I'm the pilot but dont have the ticket to land. The person that does is sitting in the ops chair when he comms the station and asks to land it says stand by for verifcation, or something to that effect. Nothing happens after that except if I get to close the turrents start firing on us. Is the pilot the one that needs to have the ticket to actually land at the station?
Thank you in advance for any help.
went about a week ago and it was still broke
the retraining box that is....

Is it possible for a single CL80 MCM, Master Pistoleer to do the tran rifle part? I was doin ok till i had to go to trail bottom to kill scratch...then failed miserably...am I doin something wrong?
With a little perseverance, I was able to solo Scratch as MCM/MSL, a while back. He's not that tough, the trick lies in separating him from the other Mystangars (and avoiding trouble from all the other critters on the way there).
Try a little more stealth, and make liberal use of your CM debuffs and crowd control skills, you should be fine.
Isn't there another quest arc that goes up to the Avatar? Starts with the wookiee sidekick at the start of the Ryatt trail, involves getting the Trandoshan Radio from the camp on the trail, rescuing a guy from the camp and doing a coupleof space missions, eventually winding up at the Blackscale camp. I quit the game while I was still on the camp mission, but I'm pretty sure that leads to the Avatar too.
BTW, WPs don't work properly on Kashyyk because of the instancing of certain zones. You can generate an accurate WP by doing this:
- Get the WP for a known point at the start of the zone - e.g. a fixed NPC
- Get the WP for the point of interest.
- Subtract the two sets of numbers, to give a relative WP. Then people can generate the correct WP for the instance they're in, by going to the fixed point, finding it's coordinates in their instance, and adding on the relative WP.
e.g:
Ryatt trail : let's say the master guide is at 100,100 in my current instance. Then I find that the WP I want to save (say, the bolotaur trainer guy) is 200,250. That makes the relative WP (200-100), (250-100) = 100,150.
Now someone else goes to a different instance where the master guide is at 600,800. The bolotaur guy in his instance will be at (600+100), (800+150) = 700, 950.
