hi im on the farstar server, we also have sean in power...

dont have a stone but went to check out the area behind the museum

theres a lady called Tafeita Rekakte in the market area who say that the merchants are looking for rare bones, linked to the sand people.

She also says they reward brave adventurers....

However like you say none of the merchants other than the junk dealers actually say anything...

I assume you've got the stone in your inventory when you try to talk to them?

maybe you have to wait for a particular merchant to spawn...you tried it when its dark?

just ideas hope it helps

Here's what I've observed so far:

First you must get Victor in power for the Tusken bosses to appear. You then kill them and (hopefully) get the stones.

Next, you must get Sean in power to improve the marketplace behind the Bestine museum. A new NPC will spawn there saying the merchants are looking for rare stones. Then a CONVERSABLE NPC will spawn underneath one of the tents at certain points in the day. Conversing with him tells you he is looking for the stones.

Finally you either drop or converse-trade the stones to him to get your reward. (not sure which way)

I have seen said merchant on the Naritus server and can confirm that he only appears at certain points in the day. I went by one day and saw nothing then the next day I saw him. Just keep an eye on the area.
