Thread: Friday Feature January 28th Faction Standings Chart

Which would indicate you've killed alot more Hutt than Nym. Since Hutt consider Nym enemies but Nym don't consider Hutt enemies.
To raise or lower your Faction standings with any faction group ("Faction Name" column), you must kill faction enemies to gain their support (the factions listed in the "Faction Enemy" column).
Killing facton ennemies of agiven factionwill usually raise your faction standing with that given faction. Never lower it (other option is no affect).
The other problem is the word usually I just used. The rule with this chart is : "Killing faction's NPCs from the left column will lower your standing with the faction of the left and right column. It will also raise your standing with the faction from the central column." That's alaways correct.
However killing faction's NPCs from the central column won't always raise your standing with the faction from the left column. Best examples are Hutt and Naboo.
Killing Hutt will lower your standing with Hutt and raise your standing with Naboo Security Force, Nym, Imperial, Corsec,Narmle Police Forces. But killing Naboo Security Force, Nym, Imperial, Corsec,Narmle Police Forces won't raise your Hutt faction standing.
Killing Naboo will lower your standing with Naboo and raise your standing with Borvo. But killing Borvo won't raise your Naboo faction standing.

Oh, did I neglect to post about my +5k Jabba FP? Yes, it is buggy. How can I have +5k Jabba the HUTT faction and still -5k Hutt. I've killed enough Trade Fed to not be deep in the Borvo hole either, yet my Hutt FP remains at -5k. Something screwy with Hutt faction is all I'm saying. There no generic "Hutt" NPCs.

However, there are wrong informations about the text (not the charts).

How about what mobs give which faction? That way you can fix some of the -5000's that come so quick! That's exactly what the FF does!
Just kill the enemy of the faction you are negative in and presto you are buddy buddy again with the NPC's of your choice!!
Great FF!! Really helpful *thumbsup*
Not true. Killing the enemy of the faction you want to increase will not always raise the faction. Naboo faction being the one specifically I'm referring to. Killing Borvo (Naboo enemy) does not raise Naboo faction. It raises the faction of Borvo's enemies. NOTHING raises Naboo faction, unforunately.

This week we have the Faction Standings charted out for you!
This is only a small sampling of the information. Why do we deal with all of these factions in the first place? Well, not everyone of course, but many of us watch our standings for the purpose of role-playing. As an Imperial, I have no love of Nym, but as a Bothan, why should I support "the other guy" if he's no friend of the Empire either? Only a small portion of this list is known...
What I mean to say: Who are these factions, and why should we (as role-players) support of go against them, other then for convenient XP. I do not ever remember a list of these factions, who they are, what they stand for, why they exist, why we should support them, who their leaders are, etc etc etc... Sure, some of them are well known (Hutt, Jabba, Borvo, Gungan) but not all of them have top billing in movies or popular books of the series. So... with this WONDERFUL Friday feature (and yes, I do mean that)... to quote the old phrase (and show how old I am), "Where's the beef?"

What are the factional enemies of Mauler's? I've angered these guys quite a lot in my travels around Naboo, and now with -5000 faction, if they do incap me, it's a trip to the cloning center for me.
Maulers don't have Faction - - they hate everyone...
Hehe, they certainly are an aggressive group, aren't they? ![]()
I could'a swore at one point killing maulers gave me negative faction with them (hence the -5000 I currently have) and positive faction with....Naboo or RSF, maybe?. It was quite a while ago, I guess that was modified.
