Stupid noob question:

Some items you get midway through the quest. For example, you have to deliver a breifcase to some guy, or you go kill some guy and get an item that needs to be returned.

Is there anyway to keep such item AND finish the quest? As soon as I click the guy I'm supposed to deliver the case too, and click on the guy who wants to item returned, the item dissapears. This makes sense of course, and so far the only way I can think of to keep the item is as soon as you get the item, either hand the item off to a buddy, finish the quest, and get the item back from the buddy OR get the item, run back to your house, drop it off, then go finish the quest. I haven't tried either so I don't even know if that works. Any ideas?

Be Careful tho, as some quest items are taken from your inventory (even in a bag) by the NPC.

It happened to a friend and I when we did the Singing Mountain Clan quests (the one with the Stormtrooper shoulderpad).

To be safe when doing quests and you want to keep the item the best thing to do is get a droid with item storage, put the item in there, store the droidand they cant take it.
