Just because they make the technology available to muck about with in game doesn't mean the timeline advances, they are just putting it in because you can see cybernetics in the movies.
You only see speederbikes (swoop is from EP II I believe) in ROTJ, but that doesnt mean they weren't around befotre that.
No, I read an officialcomment somewhere that states the change about Luke's hand in the game.

This says to me that either you will pay to get the CU, or the CU will be done before the expansion. What I am wondering where is the other new planet that was supposed to be in the 2 plant expasion with JTL?
When JTL was released, people who did not buy JTL were still able to get the new hooded cloaks and the new species.
This is the same.
ALL you are paying for is Kashyyyk and Kashyyyk's space zone.

At least get your info right. You cannot play as Ithorians or Sullustans unless you buy JtL.

so im guesssing that the CU will be same day as expansion, the CU will go into effect for everybody and the expansion will only go into effect for the people who bought the expansion, eaither way im not payin for the new expansion. now enuff stuff in it, only good thing is bionic limbs

Think that JTL combo with next expansion is a good thing, game should be about including people and I paid the money for JTL so I could fly ties and travel around galaxy fast. Expansion is now so discounted (as expansions and games usually are when they've been out a while- this is so not an SWG specific issue) that it makes sense to clear it off the shelves and bung it in with the next expansion. Doesn't this mean more encouragement for those who quit a while back to re-consider rejoining? I'm much happier at the idea of a vibrant swg universe than i am hacked off that I paid money to use an expansion and people are getting access to it free 6 months later! (Is this creepy enough to get me into the CU beta??)

How in the hell is SOE going to be able to beta test an expansion and the CURB at the same time, with less than 2 months left before getting released. Anyone remember how many bugs there were with JTL was first released? I can not believe that this will be a good thing, and pretty much any faith I had that the CURB would fix the game, ended when I heard the announcement.
