TiakTinn, how do you figure that this vehicle would be more limited than the AV-21? To me it would seem this vehicle would be more common with the looters and all potentially selling the vehicle or it's components? Am I wrong in my thinking? I think it may be difficult to camp this dungeon since from what I have heard is that you need a master artisan to craft some of the items and they need to be crafted inside the bunker! Guess we'll just have to see.

this might be a bit of a hijack but.....

Does anyone have a good explanation about how they handled the AV-21?

The corvette is awesome! It is insanely hard, which is fine by me.

However I dont understand the logic behind rewarding the group that actually gets through a mission with a schematic that is basically worthless, unless you are willing to return to the ship repeatedly to hope for the proper loot. Even then the chances of getting the loot are small, and they went and added a ton of big bad mofos in each room where the loot might be.

Basically a group of 10 finishes the mission, maybe on thier second or third attempt. Then the group has to go back looting powersupplies, which only one spawns per ship, and not always one. SO this group of 10 will wind up going back maybe 25 times or more just so they can all actually use thier reward. Too mee thats a pretty crappy way to handle a reward system.

maybe i just missed something there and theres a good reason for it being handled this way.

i have had that thoght about it before, that the ones that dont finish might loot the power supplies, so they should be more abundant. which i guess gives those guys somekinda reward for even going, and something they can sell, keeping the social thing going to some degree.

However I dont seee this happening. At least not on my server. I'd gladly pay a reasonable price for a power supply, just to save me the headache of retrurning over and over till i get one of my own.

was confirmed by haden blackman at E3 yesterday. it will be crafted in the deathwatch bunker. it is NOT the jetpack (althought that is another new vehicle in the deathwatch bunker.). it is also a land speeder. cant wait.

This is errata. Sorry guys. As far as I know, the jetpack is the new vehicle that is going in...

Yea i knew something fishy was up, all those dedicated TC characters would have found it after dying in the bunker... erm *cough* i mean RAIDING the bunker so many times, yea...

I don't think anyone has been able to craft a jetpack yet though, no one can find out how to make it (or get far enough in the bunker to find the right NPCs to talk to.)

The powerplant, to my knowledge, is in a random place on the vette, and does not spawn every time, hence the rarity of it.

As far as making all items available to every player,as was stated earlier in this thread, regardless of skill or ability, thats just a poor idea. What does the average player have to strive for? Something everyone else has and can easily get? The fact of the matter is, to make the game challenging, prizes have to be available at all levels of the game, and high end items should be tough to get, which is why they're considered high end.

Power gamers need challenges, and should be rewarded for putting in the time and effort playing the game, and striving for something. Ya, im sure a lot of gamers could use more of a life, lol, but thats not a good reason for making high end loot available to just anyone.

I would consider myself somewhere in the middle, not a powergamer, more than a few hours a week though. The simple fact is, RL cant be avoided, even though i try. But i accept the fact that a lot of gamers will have better weapons, skill attachments, loot, etc. simply because they have more time to put into the game, and are more skilled and knowledgeable at playing. At the same time, i would hope i have better weapons, SEA's, loot, etc. than a casual player that only playscouple hours a week, because i put more time into acquiring those things.

Not true, I've seen screens on image dump....I have no link so you need not believe me. But I've seen 'em.

What you saw was a client-side hack. There have been no jetpacks crafted on Test Center. If one was crafted, all of us on TC would definitely know about it.

well i was hoping for another new speeder to go with my av21. oh well. just have to get the jetpack for my commando in training. hehe.

As far as the posts regarding the av21. I have been up to the corvette about 10 times. 5 times in group and about 5-6 times solo. I have looted 2 powerplants from my solo trips. I am not uber. In fact, i am quite gimped in combat right now, thanks to prof grind. So far all those that say the corvette is impossible to solo for strictly a loot run. wake up. I went up last night and went to two possible loot locations on the ship and did not die once. Just requires a good buff, a little patience and strategy. And running like a madman. The two said locations are the easiest of the I think 4-5 loot drop locations. And 2/5 loot runsis nota bad percent for loot.

why do they keep adding stuff that the average player will never be able to get, or be able to buy, why cant they just add another schematic to the master artisan so they can mass produce the stuff, i understand this sounds like a rant, i probably could get into the DW bunker and get this new vehicle or even buy it from someone else, i feel sorry for the people who cant and will never be able to use alot of these new things that the devs are adding

I agree that there should be high end stuff, but I do think they should throw us little people some bones. I dont pay each month for the multiplayer aspect, I pay for content and even simple new stuff makes me want to keep playing...the stuff I know I will never get just makes me want to quit...

TH, will we be able to use our weapons and attack while on the jetpack (like the Fett's did in the movies)?

I still hope you guys are planning on adding the attack feature to all mounts and vehicles soon to.

I just hit a bunch of buttons and hope everything works out.

What I'd like are some low-level instanced content. We need the uber items, so the uber dudes can feel uber. That's why they do it. But the corvette is way beyond many players, it's not impossible, I seen too many folks clear it for it to be impossible. But we need some content that a group of, say, master marksmen in Ubese or chitin, could have a chance, unbuffed. Not just for noobs, but for casual gamers, so they can have a bit of the taste of the cool stuff too. Sure, ubers would be doing the missions over and over, and flooding the market, but so what? Just don't make it uber or elite. Mebbe a rifle on par with a Laser or T21, a bit stronger perhaps but not much. Or a sword. Perhaps use some content from the films? Not the huge battles, like Hoth, but minor ones. No Uber npcs, except perhaps a final 'boss' battle. Although a HUGE battle would be better than one boss. Perhaps one like the Warren, with a keycard to enter, but leads to an instanced area?

I only say instanced because any time you try and give the low level players something cool, without fail, the Ubers flood it for easy loot, and the intended players get zip, again. You got to have the high level stuff for the uber dudes, but if you keep ignoring the casual gamers, well, isn't the shrinking player base a hint? You got to give them something too, or they'll move on to COH where a noob can accomplish something and feel good about it. Themeparks only go so far for that, especially since the new stuff is all high level, and they get..Wait for it..A Gammorean Axe! YAY! Or a painting of a shaved anteater in a bikini, lmao. Funny yes...But I don't want to wake up with that over my head man, geez. hehe.

Maybe a jetpack could be added as a generic master artisan item, not as cool as the Mandalorian one, and much slower, lower altitude, etc. But something a noob could get. Or another landspeeder, or perhaps an Imperial Training Facility, where Imps could go, and earn a full suit of ST armor, one NPC at a time. Just plain old ST armor, for those players whoc an't spend 40 hours a week playing a game to earn a suit. Add something similar for Rebels. Perhaps an idea for instanced or a new themepark for the GCW revamp, a little incentive to get folks into the cool armor.

And no, I'm not a 'casual' gamer, tho I tend to goof off more than anything, I just enjoy myself. But I play anywheres from 20-40 hours a week, so I could get the high level stuff if I knuckled down to one character, etc. But that's not likely, hehe. But for the ones who can't..you DO realize people got to take care of their kids, talk to their wives, etc now and then? It's about time you threw them a bone. When you said the corvette was instanced, that's what I figured. Especially when I heard the 'loot' was a new landspeeder (that I don't even like the looks of, gimme the old ugly one anyday), I figured it'd be something accessible..Umm..Nope. LOL. Killstealing and Ninjalooting wouldn't be an issue in the corvette even if it wasn't instanced, because there's so many mobs, and so tough, it's not funny. Good idea, but the general response to 'Want to go do the 'vette?' is 'Ugh. hell no.' The people who'd want the 'cool' new landspeeder and stuff, well,c an't get one. And the Death Watch bunker isn't instanced? Hellooo... this gonna be worse than fort tusken when the robes came back with the same 1 or 2 guilds on every server camping it nearly 24/7 shouting 'get the hell out of our bunker' while killstealing and ninjalooting continuously. The idea of making anyone able to get something, doesn't mean everyone will, even if they DO have a chance. A married guy can't stay up till 7 AM like I did, running around Tusken fort, just as a giggle, so my dancer character can be a bellydancing sandperson. Tusken was supposed to be a mid to low level place I'm assuming, since A master doc/ 3/0/4/2 pistoleer can solo it. But instead, it's full of uberdudes constantly stealing kills, and collecting all the loot, then selling it back to the same peope they stole it from. If you want the low level dudes to get anything, it will HAVE to be instanced, or the uberdudes will just camp it for easy xp and loot. (Borgle bat cave anyone?)

No I don't have a freakin sig. Just make something up and pretend it's here man. woman. umm...Whatever.
