Thread: Jabba
Anyone able to tell me about joining a faction on Tattooine? I'm interested in joining up with Jabbas...I've got around 1000 faction pts with his clan yet can't seem to find a recruiter anywhere?
Also, can anyone advise on the cooordinates of Jabbas Palace itself?
Thanks in advance,
rey.
Oh ok...well that explains it then. ![]()
How do you join a Rebel or Imperial side then? By approaching any member of the faction and with enough points get the offer to join or...?
Also, you don't have Jabbas Palace coords do you?
Thanks again, good tip re: factions (saves me from running around trying to bust my head wondering why I can't join yet)...
r.
rey,
Jabba's palace is about a 5 minute W-SW walk from Wayfar just head that way and you really can't miss it, it's huge......just like in Return of the Jedi......
oh, and you join an imperial or rebel faction by
a) having 200 pts. or more of whatever faction it is you wish to join
b) finding a recruiter of that faction
you can find a imperial recruiter in just about every town, i dunno where you go to find rebel recruiters b/c i haven't found one yet myself
happy hunting
I just completed Jabba's theme park yesterday, so I can answer some questions. First off, is it worth it? The short answer is no, at least IMHO. If you're money hungry, possibly. I gained close to 11k total from looting cash off of the people I killed throughout the missions. But that still doesn't dispute the fact that the theme park is long and boring. Here are some positive and negatives to completing the park:
Positives:
- Get to seeReelo, Ree-Yees, Ephant Mon,Bib Fortuna,G-5PO, Jabba(duh), Boba Fett, and Oola. If you're interested in just seeing the above people, it could be worth it. Also get to see Malakili and his rancor.
- Lots of money gained in the process.
Negatives:
- Many missions. Close to or equal to 24 altogether.
- I hated the missions that went out into the desert to the west of when you come out of the palace. Lots of dangerous stuff out there. There was one time I had to escort Jabba's visitor back to the palace, but I couldn't even reach him because there were too many obstacles in the path - ranging from Tusken raiders, desert demons, dune lizards, and feral banthas.
What I thought was really niftacular was the fact that I didn't realize until today that I had retained Jabba's Rantok sword. G-5PO's last mission sends you out into the far reaches of the desert to a warehouse where you must recover Jabba's illustrious Rantok sword so he may display it to everyone. I contemplated keeping it, but I figured, "Nah, I came this far, might as well give it to him". I stuck it in my travel pack and then completed the mission by returning it. Today I opened my travel pack, and saw, to my surprise, that the Rantok sword was still there. Perhaps this was a bug, but it was a fine one indeed. =D
(For the curious, the Rantok sword has a max damage of 150 and wound chance of 20.0)
Do you need a certain amount of faction with Jabba b4 you can sart the theme park??
Also who do you see to get it started ??
Thanks!
You initially just see Reelo and Ree-Yees. Once you do their combined 6 missions(three each), Ree-Yees gives you permission to go past the door and upstairs. From there, you can see Ephant Mon, and basically everyone else, just not up close. You can stand very close to the Throne Room, but not actually step in until you complete Porcellus and Barada's missions.
You do not need to have an outstanding Hutt or Jabba faction to start the theme park. I was in the negatives and I could still do the missions. By the time I completed the park anyway, I had about 600 Hutt faction and 1200 something Jabba faction. You get more than enough points to compensate.
You ungrateful punk.... Jabba lets you jump on his bed and that's not good enough for you? Sheesh! people these days!
Nope, move on, nothing to see but the bed..
Did you loot anything good from his missions? If so, what was it?
