I just posted about the lack of Accolade Badges about a week ago. It would be nice to see some sort of reward for helping out Newbies, or making a good bio. I was also wondering if they just like pick names out of a hat when they give these badges out or if it's an organized process. Anyway, it's good to see that Q responded to someone. Thanks

I got a fascinating background badge about a month ago as well. It was pretty funny... I was in the middle of tattooine and *poof* I got the onscreen message. I shouted out "who did that? thank you!" but nobody answered 
What's even funnier is it was for a story about my char as a ch, which I no longer am! So now I don't suppose I can change it...

Since there was a red name in here *wink* what about a system where players can nominate others for these badges, and then they get investigated?
In all fairness, the CSR people who give out badges don't really know people on the servers (no offence, and an over generalization lol), it's the people on the servers who know each other.

yea man, i missed all the droids invading whatever cities, i had just happend to be hunting mark near bestine when holonet thing said tuskin in bestine, lol so i ran over .

if there was a badge for bitching about exploits in pvp, it would be given out freely on chilastra

Yep Brave Soldier is only during SWG LIve Events, handed out by SWG avatar with a red nameplate.
Last Thursday recieved it forbeating the Tuscans out of Beastine on Wanderhome, about 11AM Pacific.
Very fun, but not everyone that participated recieved the badge.

For a while I updated my bio with a new story oriented with my character's history with every profession change. I recieved more compliments than I could count regarding just about all my bios, but no CSR attention or love. It was mentioned that the accolade badge would be given to creative bios that showed players had done their research and used creativity. Alas I still don't have this badge and have become very discouraged. My best story, IMHO, can be found in my profile. Please read it. I feel it is one of the best bios you will find in the game.

There was a CSR-spawned activity a long time ago on Sunrunner, where an Imperial ship crash landed outside the Imp outpost on Dant. A dev-controlled NPC announced the crash landing and rounded up everyone to go defend the ship from a mass of Rebel NPCs, and the Imps that showed up to defend got the Brave Soldier badge. I didn't make it in time (barely missed the event), but have always thought that was a really cool idea.
I made it to two Droid Invasions on Sunrunner (Coronet and Theed) hoping to get the Brave Soldier badge while defeating the robotic horde, but got nothing except for lots of wounds and bf.
